Surprisingly Punchy Adventure Companion
I recently got my hands on the Soundcore Select 4 Go speaker and it’s been a fun little companion for travel, hikes, and even shower listening. At just about five ounces, this guy is featherlight and small, but it's built to take a dunk—IP67 waterproofing means it can endure being submerged up to a meter for 30 minutes, and it even floats. The attached loop makes it easy to clip to a bag or hang by the shower head. What really impressed me was the battery life. At moderate volume—that sweet spot around 40–50%—I consistently got close to 15–20 hours of playback on a single charge. Even after listening outdoors or in the shower, the battery indicator never turned red until almost the very end, and a full recharge took about four hours.Sound-wise, don’t expect booming bass—it’s a tiny 5W full-range driver with a passive radiator. But vocals, acoustic guitars, and podcasts come through with clarity and balance. I did play some pop and light EDM, and curiously some details felt flat, especially on bass-heavy tracks. However, the companion app—with its 9‑band EQ and presets like bass boost or signature—helped elevate the experience significantly.Controls on the speaker are intuitive. You get play/pause, volume up/down, and even double‑ or triple‑tap support to skip tracks backward or forward—all rare on speakers this size. Pairing via Bluetooth 5.x has been rock solid, and I’ve used stereo pairing with two units occasionally, which delivers a more immersive sound field.Where it doesn’t shine is in low‑frequency punch. Users on Reddit have noted that even with custom EQ, the lows just don’t compare to slightly larger portable speakers like the Tribit Micro 2. Some called it “not able to handle bass music,” although others praised it for its price-to-performance ratio.Build-wise, the mesh covering is lightweight but not super rugged—I'd be cautious if I’m trekking through brambles or rough terrain—but overall it endures casual drops and splashes well.In short, if you want a budget-friendly, ultra-portable speaker that’s dependable, waterproof, and lasts all day, the Select 4 Go delivers. It’s not for audiophiles or party playlists, but for podcasts, acoustic music, or casual outdoor sound, I’ve found it to be a solid, no-fuss performer.

Hands Down Best Budget Speaker!
I have now purchased two speakers from how amazing this really is. The first one I bought in January and has been working flawlessly without issue and the other I purchased recently as an means of using the stero option with two speakers. All I can say from using these is WOW!!They are so lightweight and fit perfectly in a pocket for when you are going on a run, walk, or just don't feel like hauling around a big speaker. The battery life is incredible for its small size and the speakers simple buttons make it easy to control. However, with that being said, the best feature and part of this speaker is the TWS (True Wireless Stereo) mode. Using two speakers and connecting them to a TV or other device to watch a show or movie really enhances the experience and produces sound like no other for that low of a price. The latency is barley noticable and the volume packs a punch for its smaller sizd. Having not only a budget option for stero audio but a high quality build makes this a must buy.

Great for singing in the shower!
I use this thing ALL THE TIME and it has made showering a lot more fun. The battery lasts forever and the speaker is compact enough to put on the ledge next to my face wash. While it's advertised as being water resistant, I wouldn't test your luck by completely submerging this speaker, but it's handled a bit of spray from the shower just fine. The sound quality is surprisingly good! I wasn't expecting much for the price point, but Soundcore keeps surpassing my expectations LOL. Nice and loud, bass-heavy. There's no adjustable EQ on here (to my knowledge), but the default sound is pretty accomodating to all genres of music.Controls are pretty basic and easy to use. Nothing crazy. All in all, highly recommend if you're looking for a basic, rugged speaker for the shower or going outdoors. There aren't any bells and whistles on this thing, but you won't find yourself wishing for them. Worth every penny and DEFINITELY better than some other speakers at the same price point.
