Kind of the best water bottle I've ever owned...
After 5 months of hard labor, I can attest to the genius of this water bottle. It's endured the hot sun in over 100 degree temps, weeks at sea under both sail and power, dusty/dirty construction sites, hundreds of miles of hiking and days of winter weather under 20 degrees. In each case it just keeps operating flawlessly without fault or defect. The large removable top allows for easy cleaning of the inside, while being thoughtfully designed with a tethered hinge that holds the smaller drinking cap captive. As a result, you can't lose this small cap and unlike other water bottles you aren't stuck needing two hands for hydration (i.e. one for the bottle and one for the cap). The cap threads inside the small stub of a 'straw'. This is perfect for cleaning purposes as the surface your mouth in in contact with is smooth and simple to clean. The diameter of the drinking port is perfect for taking a swig and has proven to be dribble free. The two removable seals on both threaded caps are easy to extract and install, making cleaning a breeze but also resulting in a leak free re-assembly process. The bottle just doesn't leak. I've tossed it into bags on it's side, upside down and every orientation in between. The bottle's diameter fits neatly in most vehicle cup holders and includes a rubber sleeve should you need to take up a little extra space for security. I have not had an issue with insulation at all, but I've only used it for cold beverages. The 24 oz volume is adequate for most day to day activities but I've found the need to refill it when used under more extreme conditions. After owning this for 2-3 months, we purchased the 64oz version for longer adventures where we don't have access to fresh water. Ice in the that container lasts for days at a time while at sea. It's just a water bottle, but it's the best one we've encountered. So much so that we're going to buy a couple more in the event we ever misplace or lose the one's we have.

The best water bottle I've ever owned. Seriously.
This is the absolute best water bottle I have ever owned. Happened upon one in the thrift store, and was stunned at how long it kept my drink cold on a scorching hot day (freezing cold, with ice still in it, 24 hours later). Made of sturdy materials, which is great, because it gets used a LOT. Love the spout - I hate cleaning the straws and the tops with tiny holes, and feel like there is place for ick to grow in them - but I feel like when I wash this, it's CLEAN. It's the right size (24 oz) for me, and easy to carry with the handle, even when I am also carrying a camp chair, a camera bag, a food cooler and all the rest of the detritus you bring with you to youth sports games. Seal is excellent - it could be knocked on the ground at a baseball game by a 70 mph fastball and not lose the seal (do not ask how I know this). The silicone seal does not seem to degrade with repeated washing, either - the thrift store one is from 3 years ago (and who knows how much longer it was used before that) and still going strong. I loved the thrift store purchase so much, I did the research and found the same model online (albeit a new, different color), and could not believe they were so on sale (19.99, I think). A true bargain. And now mine won't get stolen by my kid every time I put it down - we'll each have our own. I'm gonna buy one for my mom and husband, too. Seriously - this is one of the few products in life that you will like even better than you thought you would.

No leaking, and your ice cubes will still be frozen tomorrow -- but these are *not* unbreakable
We bought some of these based on a Wirecutter review, and I was really impressed. Cold water with a lot of ice stayed ice-cold all day. The ice was still cold at the end of the day, or in the morning if I filled the bottle with ice water and set it on my bedside table to sip overnight. After graduating from 14-oz and 18-oz bottles, my kid now takes one of these bottles in her school bag every day. If we put in too much ice on a cool day, the ice will stay so cold that it accumulates into a large chunk. It stays that cold! On hot days, we fill these bottles with more ice, and that helps keep everything cold even while this bottle sits in the direct sun at the beach or a park. The lids are dishwasher safe, and the small white gaskets inside the lid and the spout lid are seated pretty well, but we did lose one gasket. You can buy replacement gaskets directly from Takeya (they also run regular deals on these bottles, but in this instance I found them cheaper on Amazon and needed them really quickly). They have two different gasket styles; the better and I think newer ones have a small circular tab (almost a loop) that does double duty in helping you insert/remove the gasket and also seems to keep the gasket seated better. I say that because the one we lost did not have the tab. I check our gaskets regularly and they seem to be quite impervious to mold. I pull them out every 4-6 months to inspect and clean them, and they are always fine with no visible signs of mold. The one con to the bottles is that they get dented when you drop them. If you have a kid who swings their bottle around (and who wouldn't want to do that with the really great loop integrated into the lid of this bottle?), over time the bottom will reshape itself from flat to curved. Eventually my kid dropped the bottle or bashed it into one too many hard surfaces, and one of the dents broke full through. Then the outside of the bottle had a hole in it. The inside was still fine, but after hand washing the bottle, there was water inside the lining, and I don't want to risk that becoming a moldy mess. That's why I needed to replace a bottle. We had our bottle for about a year and a half before the r outside split. That's an expensive habit, so now I am making sure my kid keeps the bumper on the bottom -- and refrains from swinging the bottle around so much. We love our Takeya bottles! I liked their performance so much that I bought two for myself and rotate their use daily. Since we only put water in them, I put the lids in the dishwasher every day or every other day, and leave the bottles to dry in our dish rack nightly. I hand wash them with dish soap and a brush a few times a week. The only spot you have to be careful to catch is under the stainless steel rim below the lid, which is a narrow channel that can harbor some sand or dirt (and other gross stuff). The one on the left in the photo has been used for about 18 months, and the one on the right is brand new. I made large name labels for all of them with permanent vinyl, which you can see in the older bottle has scratched off in some places. I believe I re-applied the label on the left in the last six months, so keep in mind that Cricut "permanent" vinyl is not going to last forever on a curved surface like this that gets used and banged around every day.

Perfect for me
I FINALLY found the perfect water bottle for my personal needs. I have POTS and hydration is kind of a big dill, iykyk. I've gone through many a water bottle, having a longer than average Goldilocks moment, but quite happy to finally find the one that's JUST right. What I love about it: -The handle isn't a silicone strap attached by cheap screws or whatever. I wasn't able to recover my Brita bottle after the strap decided to break one day. I can carry this all over with me comfortably with no worry about the durability. -Does an amazing job keeping the water cold. -You can unscrew the top to fill the bottle, but there's another spout to unscrew for the mouth. It's the perfect size for how I like to chug my water and haven't had any issues with leaking. -I'm a klutz and I've dropped it and ran into walls/various things with it - no damage done. Not to the water bottle at least. -24 oz is the perfect size for travel IMO - carrying around work, in the car, room to room in the house. I can't vouch for hiking yet but it seems like a decent size for a backpack. It holds more than the average plastic bottle, but not as uncomfortably hefty as hauling around 32 oz or more. -The removable silicone at the bottom keeps it from rolling all over a table if I accidentally knock it over, it stays put and it fits in my cupholder when I decide to slide that part off. HUGE PLUS! -Easy to clean. Get a bottle brush in there and throw the lid in the dishwasher if you want to take your bottle hygiene a bit further. Haven't discovered a single flaw yet. It just works. Highly recommend!

Quality water bottle, highly recommend
I usually end up hating every water bottle for one reason or another, but this one is perfect. Easy to clean and fill and it keeps my drink cold for several hours. Nice carrying handle. I especially like the removable rubber base. This is a keeper, highly recommend!

Good product at a good price.
Keeps liquids cold all day. Wide mouth lets you use regular size ice cubes. Small drinking cap attached to the top so you won’t lose it. Nice handle makes it easy to carry and maybe attach to a backpack with a carabiner. I like it. Only cons: the top has a gasket you should clean every week. Otherwise easy to keep clean. Also the bottom has a rubber piece that comes off in my car’s cup holder so you need to watch for that. It’s a good water bottle that has lasted me a number of months with no problems. Good product without the big price on some of the trendier stuff.

Easy Clean - Great all around!
Absolutely exactly what I needed. The color is so pleasant and gently blush pink. The capacity (40 oz) is perfect for my work day where I have it on my desk. I have another somewhat smaller one of the same brand that I use for travel. Extremely easy to clean compared to just about any other brand of insulated water bottles. Very few moving parts means it's a lot more durable and has fewer places for bacteria to hide. The rubber base is a great addition too, prevents a lot of spills and annoying sounds of the bottle being set on solid surfaces. The varying loop is fantastic, and the spout cap is easy to use and open with one hand (assuming you didn't over-tighten it). And again with the cleaning aspect: no straw, so it is really just the lid and the bottle that need to be cleaned. And the lid is dishwasher safe so just a simple bottle brush inside will do the trick. Drinks also stay cold inside for a long time even in warm conditions. I will put ice and water in mine at the start of my work day and often find there is still almost the same amount of ice left by the end of the day and I have to leave the lid fully off to let it melt down so I can finish it all. I don't really put warm beverages in it since I use it only for water, but I imagine it would keep it warm for a good while as well. All-in-all I don't have anything negative to say except I wish I had reasons to get more colors and sizes because they're great.

Cold!!! 2 days hot car florida
I filled this up with cold water and only like 5 ice cubes. Forgot it in the car when we went out on the boat. Forgot to bring it inside that night. Next afternoon the water is still SUPER COLD. This is Florida where everything melts. Except this bottle. I only put 5 ice cubes because the ice doesn’t melt in one day - it stays THAT cold. I have a large yard (Florida panhandle) to take care of so I drink LOTS of water. I needed a bottle with a secure lid that won’t let bugs or grass clippings blow in AND keeps the water cold AND won’t sweat all over the place. Finally found one that checks all the boxes. AND this one fits in my cup holder - in my Honda CRV and the riding mower. Also. I bought in black because I saw reviews about lids breaking and replacement lids only come in black. Even with this black bottle sitting in the sun on the beach the water stays deliciously cold. And I am not having any issues with the lid anyway. I love this one so much I came back and bought the 64oz also in black. The lids can be swapped but the handle on the 24oz is on the lid. Handle on the 64oz is on the bottle. I think I prefer the handle being on the bottle, but I use the big one as my extra water and drink from the smaller one. It’s just easier to manage (short people problems) plus it fits the cup holder. Using both bottles, me (46F) and my daughter in law (28) and my granddaughter (<1) spent a couple hours at the beach and had all the cold water we needed. WAY easier than carrying a cooler or having a bazillion different drinks/cups/bottles. I’ll be buying the traveler bottle next for hot coffee season. Maybe I’ll buy another 24oz in a color to use for iced coffee. Other than adding more of these to my collection, I can’t imagine ever having to spend more money on water bottles or travel mugs. Probably all of my family will be getting their own as gifts this year. Takeya is this Florida girls best friend!!!!!

Recommended bottle
It's a very nice bottle, very easy to clean and it keeps my drinks cold for a long time. I don't have an issue with the seals getting moldy but I also let my bottle fully dry every week.

Great bottle
Very happy with my purchase. Recently misplaced my owala bottle and wasn't willing to fork out for a replacement at the current price. I found this bottle on Amazon Marketplace, advertised as "acceptable" due to major cosmetic imperfections. I had to REALLY look to find any imperfections on the bottle, all I can see is this tiny dent - and for $15 instead of $70 I am absolutely fine with it! Fully functional and a great colour. Filled up this morning at 9am and at 11pm it's still lovely and cold.

Best of the Best
I've ben using this bottle for close to one year now and it's so good that I felt compelled to go back into my old orders and write a review. Prior to using Takeya, I was using Contigo bottle with the same value proposition (double-insulated, easy pour spout etc). Bottom line is this bottle beats all the rest hands down. It not only delivers everything it has promised, it also seems to be unbreakable. I've dropped it so many times that I'm seriously wondering how the double insulation is not cracked in the interior. In fact it just continues to deliver as if it was new - I'm very impressed. The other Contigo bottles I used would have interior cracks after big falls and although the exterior looked ok, it would no longer be able to maintain the cold temps over several hours. So bottom line, Takeya is where it's at!

Bottom piece fell off (again)
Something about the design of these products… the bottom sticky piece that helps stick the bottle to a surface fell off within a week. This is the second time this happened to me with your product. Also the balance of the 40oz bottle is not good. It is too tall and falls easily. I’d recommend a camelback or other brand.

Perfectly leak proof and retains the desired temperature for hours.
I love this brand and will be very loyal to it as it's genuinely leak proof. It also keeps cold liquid cold, and hot liquid hot for hours. I have this one for water when hiking. I have a smaller one for hot drinks for hiking/ work. Both I put on their side in bags or flat in the car well, and they've never leaked. I've also dropped them several times from waist height onto tarmac, without hardly a mark sustained.
