Wonderful for baking.
Okay, so you get the ube powder. It's the beautiful purple color I love with the nutty taste I was looking for. My issue with the powder is that it is hard to not get lumps. This would be perfectly fine if I only bought this to take with or to use as food coloring, but because I bought this to make ube latte's I need the texture to be right. So going forward, I'm going to buy liquid ube extract.

Red Beet SUPERcolor food coloring
I'm so happy with this food coloring that I'm taking time out of my Christmas Eve to write this review. Over the past few years, I've been buying other "healthier" food coloring from different grocers. As I get better at reading ingredient labels, I learned that even though they may use food sources as coloring (rather than Red #, Green # etc.) they mix it with unhealthy stuff like Polysorbate 80. Eeeks! Knowing there are better options typically found on Amazon, I went looking last minute for a better coloring for our traditional Christmas cookies. I found it, and Amazon Prime got it to my home early today (Christmas Eve). I bought the Red Beet to try it. As other reviewers have stated, it does smell strong. However, using a small amount I found no difference in taste or smell to our finished cookies. The color is pink, rather than a bright red, but I'm used to that from other food source food coloring. It's the tradeoff for healthier eating, which I gladly accept. I wondered if I could get a darker red color if I used more powder, but seeing pictures from other reviews, I see that using more just provides a dark plum color (or beet color). Also, I used the powder to make colored sugar too. I added a little bit of the powder to a small glass dish containing organic sugar. Worked perfectly! Also, it did not gum up my pan in between cookie batches like the other not-so-healthy, food source colors, that contain glycerin. I used to have to clean the pan in between every batch of cookies, because the sugar would stick like crust to the pan and prevent new cookie dough from sticking to the pan (using a cookie press). Today, I didn't have to clean the pan between batches, which saved me a ton of time. Thank you so much Suncore!! Merry Christmas!!

Stunning and Nutritious: Suncore Foods Organic Red Beet Powder
I recently tried Suncore Foods Organic Red Beet Powder, and I'm really impressed. The vibrant red color it adds to my smoothies and baked goods is stunning, and knowing it's all-natural and organic makes me feel great about using it. It's subtly sweet and blends smoothly without any gritty texture, which is a huge plus. I love that it's gluten-free and non-GMO, fitting perfectly into my diet. While it's a bit pricier than artificial food colorings, the nutritional benefits and versatility make it totally worth it

Beer flavor
Has a beet taste. Not for desserts in my opinion. Great clean product though. I will continue to purchase

Turns gray
I purchased this to color vanilla cupcakes for a wedding with a lavender color theme. The batter was a beautiful muted lavender color but when they baked they turned gray. The product did mix in nicely and did not leave any flavor.

Increased blood sugar
I love it so that I could make homemade bread with different shades of color in it. I was not particularly happy with the final coloring of the bread. I used about 1/2 cup for a medium size loaf of bread and the color was hardly noticeable. I did notice my blood sugar went much higher with this slice of bread compared to bread I make with out this product. For me I will not order again. This product might be helpful if you're making a beverage that you want to color red and it did have a pleasant beet taste that part was fine.

Yum!
I enjoy earthy tastes such as beets - so itโs really good and easy-not such a mess of a form to get the nutritious value of beets! Use it in my daily smoothies! If you mix with water to drink it takes a while to dissolve tho (not be gritty). So I prefer in shakes.

Great for baking
Makes for fantastic magenta coloured pie dough, although it does leave a "rooty" sort of smell. Doesnt stain, and makes for a healthy natural dye.

Doesn't work. Have to add WAY too much.
Making a red velvet cake, added almost a half cup of this stuff and the cake is still not red at all. Its not a strong colourant, i can't recommend it. Returned. Also a bit expensive for an imported ingredient. Going to try beat crystals and see how that goes.
