Monoi Tiki Tahiti Tiare 120ml

I have been using this for 30 years and always get compliments on my scent. It is my signature scent. Which is very fresh, tropical with a hint of tiara flower. It really works on keeping me skin young and luminous. For a 61 year old, you would be surprised how smooth my skin is. I also use this on my hair as a mask to keep it in good condition. It removes eye make up and is generally a good all rounder, makes a great gift also

It's smells amazing, the scent is subtle and not overpowering, but stays on my skin for hours. The oil itself absorbs into my skin and hair, not just sitting on top like some other oils. Great value, great scent, have bought before, will certainly buy again. And don't forget, a little goes a long way!

I used to buy Elemis, now I will buy this: cheaper and more natural since ingredients are natural and do not contain any chemicals or preservatives. The poor design of the bottle is an issue, as difficult to use without making a mess. It is a tradition in Tahiti, as locals used to recycle their cough mixture bottles and fill them up with their monoi oil. What I do Is that I transfer the oil once liquified into a an empty pump bottle (including the tiare flower) and voila!This little miracle product has more moisturing power than Elemis without making my skin greasy, and I hope it will be help me manage my psoriasis.

For those looking for an Elemis Monoi Oil replacement this is not it. The smell is like someone concentrated a chemical frangipani and mixed it with a parma violet, then accidently put in triple the amount needed - very overpowering and too sweet. The oil itself is moisturising but feels greasy even for coconut oil, like they missed a step and didn't refine it properly. If I didn't know it was coconut oil I would have guessed it was a mix of 90% coconut and 10% lard. It does moisturise but I had to wash it off after half a day due the smell which continued to linger for a few hours even after doing my best to wash it off.

I was excited when my bottle of Monoi Tiki Tahiti arrived. I was surprised that it wasn't fluid but a thick blend of coconut oil fragranced with the strong essence of Tahetian gardenia. Wow! It's not a delicate fragrance when you sniff the bottle but once applied on the skin it absorbs quickly and smells deliciously warm and floral. It's absolutely beautiful for any season of the year. Uplifting and invigorating and transports you in your senses to the beautiful Polynesian shores of the South Pacific.

I am so disappointed, this is nothing like the product I used to buy 30 years ago. Back then it would be in a glass bottle, not plastic. It had a lovely scent, whereas this one is completely devoid of any gardenia like fragrance, even with the flower submerged in it. It's actual scent reminds me more of a kind of polish, quite overpowering at that, that I don't want on me all day long. I normally like the smell of coconut oil, but I don't like this one, and I feel quite sad about it. I certainly won't be buying it again.
