I componenti di questo microfono sono in massima parte di metallo: la base d'appoggio è larga e pesante per assicurare stabilità, l'asta che offre la possibilità di orientamento del microfono in senso alto-basso e la parte posteriore del microfono che costituisce la metà del microfono stesso. Sulla parte posteriore del microfono sono presenti la connessione USB-C e l'ingresso per il jack della cuffia. Nella parte anteriore del microfono è presente il componente di ingresso della voce in una gabbia di plastica protettiva; come ulteriore protezione e filtro della voce è presente un cappuccio di spugna nero estraibile che avvolge la gabbia. In dotazione anche il cavo di collegamento USB-C. Dal sito del produttore è disponibile il software "Motiv mix" che consente la configurazione del microfono; inoltre disponbile su Apple Store l'app Motiv Audio. La voce risulta chiara, forte e con un buon filtro dei rumori di fondo. Su computer Mac OS, una volta connesso alla porta USB-C, il microfono viene configurato tra i componenti audio in ingresso e uscita (cuffie) come "Shure MV6".
