Mat is in good quality. Hope next time it is noticed before product mailing. There is dust on the surface of penholder and leave a stain on mat. I clean it by myself using vacuum cleaner~

Overal it is good enough to start my calligraphy. But it is very easy to remove not very stable on table.

I've been using this felt for my Chinese calligraphy class, and I really love it. I was considering getting felt without a grid, but I've actually really been liking it. You can see the grid through your rice paper and it makes it easier to align your characters. It also helps with runny ink problems. I really like it.

I bought this as I had signed up to a Chinese writing/painting class. Wasn’t sure why I needed it at that point but it was on the list of things I would need. Thank goodness I did as it has been an essential bit of kit. Nice and thick with clear grids which has helped me to space my characters appropriately

Really good product! Big enough to cover the whole paper. It is not too thick.

I use it for practicing calligraphy. The red lines are not clear after covered with Xuan Paper. It could be better it they are black. Besides, if there is a 6 cm square inside each 10 cm square, it will be more flexible to write different sizes of Chinese characters.

it is fine, it is a little bit hard for my rice-paper which i put on the mat, Hard to see, press harder may ruin the paper on top.
