Finally got this!
I've always been a fan of Lisa Hunt's artwork and have most of her other decks. So happy this one was re-released. Arrived very quickly too.

Beautiful deck!
As soon as I saw this deck was being reprinted I immediately put it on preorder and I’m so excited to finally have it. The artwork is beautiful and it’s easy to shuffle. If you’re into fantasy art in tarot then get this deck and you won’t be disappointed.

Book is terrible, unlike original first edition of this deck
I can’t believe US Games took one of the most sought-after collectible decks—sold for hundreds and sometimes thousands in auctions and used booksellers—and didn’t bother to reprint to original accompanying book of fairy tales! The deck reprint is lovely, with US Games familiar shuffleable card stock and rich, saturated colors. The hard box is great. But the accompanying booklet is no more than a dressed-up little white book with descriptions of the images on each card. One of the incredible things about the original deck was the gorgeous (big!) book of the actual fairy tales that inspired Hunt’s art. Why US Games didn’t create a beautiful kit with a full-color original book, like the first edition set, is beyond me. Tarotists have had this on their wish list for 10+ years.I have had an old iPhone app version of this deck that I bought when the original edition went out of print. It has the complete book reproduced in the app. I doubt this is still available, but I will use it with these cards in lieu of the crummy book that came with it.Luckily, since reprinting of this deck the original first edition price has come down somewhat where you can find it, but there are very few copies to be found. Newcomers to this deck are rightly frustrated with the included booklet. The original book was not only great for tarot readers, offering nuanced insight into familiar tarot archetypes, but it was also a fantastic collection of world folk/fairy tales, some of which are quite difficult to find in English translation. The scholarship of Lisa Hunt was breathtakingly good, and her association of each tale for the themes of each card made her deck truly one of a kind. Now, we get the art without the meaning. The art is fantastic, but so was the book. This, in my opinion, is like a fairy tale list of characters with no narrative. It could have been so wonderful.

Great images and quality
The artwork is stunningly beautiful. The cardstock is very decent, with nice card varnish. Great quality. Sturdy and beautiful box.

Too much tiny detail, very hard to make out the meaning
Wow wanted to love these but the art work is so pale and filled with tiny details that it is very hard to make out meaning in the images. To much work for older eyes. The artwork is completely pastel which at first glance is very pretty, but the lack of dark and light contrast just makes a confusing image. I tend to read carefully but quickly and these just don’t work for me.

Missing Card. Ten of Pentacles
Loved the cards however it was missing the 10 of Pentacles. One of my favorite cards. I wanted to exchange however Amazon will not allow it. You have to return and then buy again. Long wait now to actually, hopefully, receive the full deck
