Brooklyn Athletics Men’s Classic Straw Sun Beach Hat - Wide Brim

Love love love. Totally over priced, but what you goons do? Make your own. Well sewn, all the parts seem better than average Qualit. Only about a month in but working great. 3 month update: Still love the hat, though I was at ride at an amusement park in at the brim got bent. Complete tear through the material. Still love the hat, but the material will not tolerate a bend. Wondering if the ones with cloth on the bottom are more durable? Maybe heavier?

I purchased this hat and the Brooklyn Surf Raffia Wide Brim Hat. They're both great, and since they're from the same manufacturer, some of what I'm about to say is similar. I have a pretty large head, but this hat fits great! It's one size fits all, so you might think that people with smaller heads would find themselves swimming in it - however, there is a thick elastic band inside that stretches or tightens to allow more or less room. Either way, it fits perfectly for me! It truly is one size fits all. The draw string keeps it tight under my chin on a windy day, or if I want to remove it from my head, I can wear it around my neck, which is nice. The straw material feels good, and keeps my head cool, and the inner elastic band is made of very soft fabric, which feels nice on my forehead. Plus, it's got a wide brim, so it keeps the sun out of my eyes! All told, this was a great buy! If you're trying to choose between this one and the Raffia Wide Brim, I would say base it on aesthetics. The comfort is about the same. This one has a cool black logo in the front, plus black lining around the edges, the other does not.

My boyfriend had this hat years ago before we met. He told me he planned to get another one since the other was starting to wear and tare. I found this on amazon and was so freakin happy! I immediately ordered it! My boyfriend was so happy when he opened it for his birthday! He loves the quality of it and the fit. He loves One Piece so we call it his Luffy hat hahah he wears it so much in the summer! Definitely recommend this product!

This hat worked great for what I needed it to do - be a beach hat. Has sun protection, is comfortable, and looks great! I liked how I could use the adjustable strings to keep it on my back when I didn’t have it on. My only complaint is that it is fragile. It doesn’t hold up to being bent at any angle.

Just received the hat and it was better then I had expected especially for the price. This hat by all means is not as well made as the more pricy ones but for getting this for my teen grandson and him using this for work and play it is perfect and It fits well and looks nice. and he likes it which is the main thing. It was kinda stuffed and bent from the shipping box but I was able to straighten it out. The delivery of this came way sooner then expected date and that is why they get the fifth star instead of four. Great service !

This hat is great if you’re needing it for a couple of days. It fits well, light weight and has good sun protection for your face and neck. In my experience, there was a little wind and the brim easily bent back and broke, even while still secured to my head. Spend a little more $$$ and get something that will last longer.

I’ve purchased many straw hats over the course of the last few weeks. I’m a teacher and needed a good wide brim hat for playground duty/outdoor supervision since I live in CA and we have sunshine 365 days a year and sometimes it’s brutal and relentless. This hat arrived in a large box, wrapped in plastic w/ a plastic support to keep the shape of the hat on the inside… it’s lightweight, comfy and fits my head (which tends to be on the larger side w/ hats) and I have thick hair so it fits comfortably… we’ll see how long it lasts but as some other reviewers have stated, it’s a straw hat, so expect it to last as long as a straw hat may last!

Got for my husband. Great quality it’s lasted over a year in the hot sun well he does yard work. It’s breathable and very lightweight.

Cuando lo recibí tenia una abertura arriba, le di la oportunidad por que supuse era problema de la envoltura ya que llegó todo doblado, sin embargo solo lo usé 2 meses y ya está todo roto, muy mala calidad, para nada lo recomiendo, aunque aparenta estar barato, no desperdicien su dinero

This is my second Brooklyn Surf hat. Comfortable & breathable in the heat. Does tend to crack along seams where the straw bends, but not of major concern

El producto llegó rápido pero en un muy mal empaque que comprometió el producto, entiendo la delicadeza de la pava pero muchas pequeñas partes venían rotas, el fabricante necesita revisar sus términos con Amazon para mejorar la cepedas de sus envíos en productos así de frágiles, en términos del producto, es cómodo y se siente bien.

I Worked making hats similar to these years ago in order to get production faster we would run multiple die’s with the heat up pretty high.. this is tricky not leave hats in the die for to long or have the heat to high because it will dry the crowns to much and make them CRISPY as we used to call it .. mine is one of these hats this in no means, means all of them are like this as this hat could have snuck through all the other processes and made to me .. it fits great and could be a quality product but do to the crispy crown it gets a three star review
