WOW...I wasn't expecting THIS!!!!
This review is for the Earthling Co. Shampoo & Conditioner Bar Set in the Wild Lavender scent. What a wonderful product. I ordered this some time ago, so I would have it on hand when the shampoo and conditioner I was currently using ran out. I tried this for the first time today, and BOY was I surprised and very pleased. I have long straight hair to the middle of my back. This shampoo bar lathered up so well. I could have probably used less, but I didn't know what to expect. I felt my hair got cleaner than with my previous shampoo. As I said, it lathered well and on top of that it rinsed out really well too. I didn't have to take minutes and minutes rinsing it. My hair felt so clean. Then the conditioner was equally wonderful and surprising. It was easy to apply. I felt it was exactly the right amount as I applied the bar to the ends of my hair and it gave me a rich, deep condition. I let it sit in my hair while I finished my shower, then rinsed it out with ease. I towel dried my hair and it was easy to comb out. No major tangles. I usually blow dry my hair, but today, I let it air dry and it feels full and soft. I am so happy I purchased these shampoo and conditioner bars. Oh, and the scent, pure luxury. I would suggest placing them on a soap saver pad or some sort of elevated soap dish, so they can get air and not sit in water or on a moist surface between uses. I will be purchasing these again when these run low. I can't speak to if they will encourage hair growth since I just started using them. Time will tell on that point.

Amazing Product
I have found this product to be sooo good. I feel like I get a better lather in my hair with this shampoo bar than I ever got with any liquid shampoo. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling so silky and not dry at the ends like a lot of mainstream liquid shampoos do. I have also noticed SIGNIFICANTLY less shedding in the shower since I started using these bars. I have only been using them for about two weeks and have already noticed such a difference in my hair. Product is healthier for my hair and better for the enivorment.

absolutely love these products.
I am an ex hairdresser and I have been using this brand for a few years now and have tried most all of the different scents. I wash my hair twice a week and the shampoo lasts for about 3 to 4 months, the conditioner, 2 to 3 months. And wow, does this shampoo lather! Add a little water to your hair as youโre lathering it up and you do not need a lot at all! When I first started using this product, I was coloring my hair and it did not strip the color. It has now been 3 1/2 years since I have colored my hair. I am 60 years old, have wavy hair and I am maybe 20% gray. The shampoo and conditioner has withstood the test of time! While all of their products are thickening and volumizing, they do not advertise for dry hair, oily hair, colored hair, etc., but each scent has different ingredients. With a little bit of research, you can actually determine which one you would need for your particular hair type. When I colored my hair, I generally used the vanilla and coconut because it was moisturizing. Occasionally, I would use the citrus because citrus is stripping and cleansing. Itโs perfect because it will strip any styling products that way the hair down. I rarely even needed a deep conditioner. Today because my hair is getting gray, it is a little more frizzy than it used to be. Now all I ever use is citrus. It is amazing, it does not dry my hair out, really tames the frizz and allows my natural wave pattern to become bouncy and soft. Now, without the hair coloring, I never need a deep conditioner. Before using the shampoo, I apply the conditioner to the last 3 inches of my hair. Then I shampoo my hair and just before rinsing, I run the shampoo through the ends. Other reviewers are complaining because their hair is long and the conditioner bar is difficult to use. Did you not think about that before you purchased the product? Well, let me give you a couple tips for a long hair. Take your hair into smaller sections and twist it then run the conditioner bar over the twisted pieces of hair. When you are finished applying the conditioner, un-twist the pieces and run your fingers through it. Itโs really quite simple. Iโm also reading these reviews where people are talking about the bars breaking into small pieces and when this happens, theyโre difficult to use. Again, did you not think about this prior to your purchase? Of course as they get older they break into small pieces just like soap, itโs common sense people. When my conditioner breaks into smaller pieces, while it is still damp, I squeeze them together to make a larger piece.. I donโt let any of this product go to waste. Other reviewers are complaining about the soap residue on the soap holders. Well, it is a bar of soap. Soap does that. Just rinse it off. Next piece of advice. Purchase one of the containers with the sponge on the bottom. Donโt keep them in the shower, even with the container as the moisture will degrade the product. Again, common sense. Everyoneโs hair is different and what works for one person may not work for another. But this is why they have so many different types of shampoo and conditioner. You can even mix and match. The earthling company has my business for life!

Didnโt think Iโd like it but I do!
Wow I love this bar shampoo and conditioner ! I really thought it wouldnโt lather up but it did nicely and without having to use a lot of product. The conditioner bar was the same. A few swipes over my head and bam.. nice and creamy, left my hair soft and supple. My 9yo loved that it doesnโt get in her eyes and has a nice scent too!

Honestly, I love these
This is a neutral review from an actual customer. But Earthling feel free to send me some! :) I saw a video about this product, and wanted to give it a try. The video said it was good for women over 50 with thinning hair. That's me. I have medium/long hair that goes a little below my shoulders, which I color. I also love the idea of getting away from plastic bottles. But bars I have tried in the past were dry bricks that were hard to use, or got too soft in the shower and didn't last long, and they all left my hair feeling dry and stripped. I am SO AMAZED by these bars. They lather right up, and apply easily. It doesn't take any more time than squeezing liquid out of bottles if time is a factor for you in the morning. The first couple of uses were pretty good, but by the third or fourth, the conditioner left my hair feeling absolutely silky in the shower, and very easy to brush after. 2 weeks later the bars are still good sized so they will last a long time, longer than a regular bottle of shampoo I think. I quickly ordered more for myself, and some for my friends because I think they all need to try this! I started with Citrus which smells pretty good but is very light. I got the fresh which I LOVE. It is minty and smells great and makes my scalp tingle in a good way. I think that will be my favorite. I got some to give away too, and can say that the lavender also smells really nice, and the unscented doesn't smell like anything. (I hope my friend with sensitive skin loves it!). I am really excited with these, enough to leave a review (which I rarely do, but my kids are sick of me telling them about these, so I thought I should write this instead). I also got a cute hanging rack from amazon that sticks to the shower wall to put these on, which is perfect. The colorful bars on it look pretty too. My only negative is that I wish all of the scents came in the shampoo/conditioner duo box, because there is a savings on that over buying them individually. I had to buy the minty ones separately. I haven't been using them long enough to know about any hair regrowth yet. I hope that works as well, as my hair has gotten so much thinner and finer than when I was young. I feel like the texture is changing a bit for the better, and hope that continues, and that I see less on the brush and more on the head. But for now, just as a hair care set, I LOVE THESE.

Smooth, healthy feeling, hair with the appearance of more volume
Used 1x so far: It lathers nicely and you don't need to rub it on your head very many times. I used more than needed so I rubbed the extra suds on my legs. I think the palms of my hands feel smoother. It rinses well. I went easy on the conditioner so I wouldn't get too much.Wow, very nice, none of the ends feel or look dry or frizzy. It has been very humid with a lot of rain the last few weeks. My hair looked and felt smooth without the cotton candy appearance I was having before. Today I was outside for about an hour and although"fluffier" my hair is not frizzy and is still manageable.

Excellent Product!
Best Shampoo and Conditioner ever! Hair is much more manageable, soft and shiney. I used to use 2-3 products after a shampoo and conditioner to detangle and condition my hair. I now use 1, and that's just because it is a heat protecterant. Also love the smell! Beats any of the other bar shampoo and conditioners I've tried. Try it once and you won't got back to any others.

Pleasantly Impressed so far....
*2nd update*: It's been about 3 weeks. Hair is becoming noticeably dryer and more brittle over time. The conditioner isn't doing much conditioning anymore like it did before. Tried deep conditioner and no change. Found that on reddit, there are strings of complaints about the formula having changed and the shampoo being not great. Exactly the dry and brittle experience I'm having. The company has no plans to bring back the original, but some users suggesting trying a better shampoo bar from Suds and Eco brand. They still seem to prefer the conditioner bar from earthling, but the shampoo is a no go. Scalp is better, but not better enough compared to using liquid dandruff shampoo. Suds and Co has formulas specifically targeting my exact issue, so giving them a run. Hair does feel clean, but it seems it's becoming stripped? Unsure *update*: After a week or so, maybe more of use, I remain pleased. My scalp itching and flaking has gradually decreased. Ends of hair still get a bit dry as i roll into the third day, but seeing improvement. Also making sure to actually bring some lather down the strands seems to help encourage the ends to stay healthier? I'm guessing due to marshmellow root. Less hairloss than with a lot of other products tried. My roots still get a bit oily but I am noticing it slowing down. Curl patterns aren't as intense, but they're moist and shiny, soft, which tells me my intense curl pattern before was due to the dryer hair...Oops. hair remains wavy throught the days! This has been a good switch and I see it lasting a long time as advertised. Plus reducing overall products used.... I do still use a pre shampoo mask on the lengths and ends, which is always recommended anyway for long hair. Would be great if the company made one in a bar form! Mind you, this review is off of one use only so far. I was absolutely skeptical heading in to bar use again because the last 3 bars i tried, left my hair like straw. The first bar I ever tried, I can't even remember the name. It was a long time ago when bars first came out for hair. The second was Viori, I didn't like the results. The third was Kitsch, again didn't like results and the conditioner bar was terrible. So yes, I was very nervous to try. But, after a LOT of deep diving into reviews, and blogs, with very deep dives into the ingredients and videos, results, I decided this bar was worth trying. Especially because the consistent review on the conditioner bar is that it applies easily and goes on so smooth. On my first use I can tell you, yes, I like this. My scalp usually suffers itching after every shampoo, and flakes minorly. Gets very oily buildup midway through second day. I'm still on the first day so I can't speak for second day yet, but I can say my scalp has no buildup post shampooing, and no itch. No flakes. The hair fallout was far less than I expected during the shower for being two days out from the last shampooing. And brushing my hair after plopping for 10 minutes was shockingly a breeze? All of 5 hairs in that brush. Usually I can't even count them it's a handful. I can absolutely say that conditioner bar worked well and actually seems to have conditioned my hair? Curl pattern today kinda sucks, but that's also my fault for poor handling afterwards. Oops. Either way, it's soft, supple, and my ends aren't straw-like at the moment. It seems so far I actually have great results like many of the reviews I have read. I have brown, fine hair, very full head of it and wavy/curly. My under layers are straight, over layers are curly. (Thanks a lot genetics). Scent wise, choose carefully. The more citrusy a scent, the more citric acid it will have and generally from the deep dive I've learned that the citric acid makes a difference in oil control. Citric acid is great for very generally oily hair types. Not those with dry ends or flaky scalps. I got the sandalwood, let me tell you it is extremely overpowered and stained my hands that smell. Not that I mind, but not all of you will like that. The lather is very fast, and it lathered phenomenal. Don't sweat a huge lather, it's actually not equivalent to stripping in this one. You can feel the product on your hair and you really don't need a lot to get a good clean. This IS one of those that adding water as you scrub helps spread it. I know I've tried several condensed shampoos that "say" this and they just don't do it. I end up using more to get lather and it strips like crazy. With this bar, not a problem. I think I still used a bit much, but it didn't over strip. If it had, my scalp would probably have told me by now as it usually does. Overall, I'm quite pleasantly impressed and I do hope this deeper review with brand references helps someone else deciding to try this brand out. I have a really difficult time with most products, this one I'm actually excited to use again and see how the results continue. (Side note. My air dried hair smells like soapy sandalwood. Not nearly as good as the bar smelt, unfortunately. But hey it doesn't smell like playdoh!)
