I bought these as I am a type 1 diabetic & I thought it would be helpful to work out my carbs. However when you press total it only adds up the nutritional information not the carbohydrate content. As a consequence I’ve not used it. It was an expensive mistake.

nice compact design, inclusive food list, although the options feel a little dated, doesn't include some more recently popularized health foods, super nice to not have to go online to use. didn't quite figure all the settings out yet but fairly straight forward to use. would buy again

I started using this scale in January of this year, and it has helped change the way I think about food. After being in fat loss mode for over a year, I just couldn't get that last 25 or so pounds to come off. In January I decided to start tracking my food, specifically my macro-nutrients much closer. I bought this scale to help me do just that. Between the quick reference guide and the Android app, it's easy to find the foods I was using, and plug them in to weigh them. It also lets you program in your own foods. I have my own user codes for about 20 different things I fix or eat frequently, including air-fried chicken strips, and different coleslaws. As far as quality goes, I have no complaints. It's sturdy, solid, and the feet keep it from moving around. It's large enough that I can put very big bowls on and still use the buttons, but not so large that it takes up a ton of room on the counter. It's also thin enough that it can easily stow in a drawer or cabinet when not in use. The surface is smooth and wipes clean easily. I use it multiple times every day, and I've only replaced the batteries once so far. The zero feature works up to several pounds, and I have yet to find its limits. I'm sure it says in the manual, but I'm allergic to reading those. My only complaint is the clunkyness of the 'build a bowl' feature that lets you add different foods to the same weight. I find it easier to just add one at a time, track, and re-zero before adding the next food. But that's such a small complaint, I won't even take off a star for it. Otherwise, this is an excellent scale that has really changed the way I eat, and think about food!
