W4 4K Mini Body Camera, 64GB Magnetic Clip Wearable Camera

The BOBLOV W4 body camera is exactly what I needed. I wanted a body camera I could wear that was semi discreet and easy to use. I didn’t care if it could be seen, I just didn’t want a body camera that was the size of a deck of cards mounted to my chest. I tried a few of the larger body cams from other brands and although the video quality was pretty good, the bulkiness of the camera made it so that I didn’t want to use it thus eliminating the purpose of owing one. The W4 is about 2½ inches long and 1 inch wide weighing in at barely over 1 oz. The camera comes with accessories so you can mount it one of two ways. One way is to use the 360° rotatable clip that can clip to pretty much anything. My preferred way to carry it is to use the adjustable magnetic neck strap. I put the strap around my neck and the small magnetic plate under my shirt or jacket (you can wear it on the outside of your clothes too). Then I just place the W4 on the outside of my shirt and it holds securely to the magnet. The W4 has a great feature usually only found on more expensive models that allows it to do loop recording. This means when your memory card is full it will continue recording by recording over the oldest previous video. Even with the smaller 64gb memory card you will get ample video space as it will hold a little over 11 hours of video before it needs to overwrite a previous video. Battery life should suffice for most applications as in my testing the W4 could record video for 2 hours before the battery went dead. Recharging the W4 is done by connecting the camera via USB-C cable to any USB charger. Copying video to your PC is easy by connecting the W4 to your pc via a USB-C cable. Videos files are compatible with most applications since they are the common MP4 format. The W4 has just one button in the front and is used to turn on the camera and just one press starts and stops recordings. It’s super simple and convenient. The only improvement I would like to see is the single button on the front is flat against the body of the camera and therefore makes it a little difficult to find with my finger. If the button was raised just a bit it would make it easier to feel and be a nice improvement. My reasoning for buying a body cam is that I have a dash cam in my car in case a “situation” arises, so it seemed like the next logical step would be to use a small body cam when I am out and about in certain circumstances. Overall, this is a great camera especially for the price and you won’t regret buying one. I have attached a short video of me riding my e-bike so you can see the quality of the video. A body camera by design does not have image stabilization so it is normal to see movement when walking around, etc. If you need an action camera with video stabilization for sport, etc. buy a GoPro, if you want a body camera, The BobLov W4 is the one to buy.

Bought two of them to field test and wasn't disappointed. They are fantastic devices for what they cost. They come with two batteries and a dual battery charger, which proves to be useful. The clarity of the video, and more importantly the sound, is almost amazing. The night vision IR on the device is also stunningly clear. The device also comes with the 30 second pre-record option which you can turn on or off, which is fantastic so you don't miss a thing as a situation develops. The device must be turned on and in standby mode for the 30 second pre-record option to work. We bought the option with the 60g internal hardrives and they hold a TON... I mean a TON of videos. It would be a few months worth of shifts for us to run out of space. The downsides that we have with them are, the device does not automatically distinguish when it needs to enter into night vision mode. You must manually activate the IR. When you do activate the IR, there are 4 red lights that illuminate on the front of the device facing towards your subjects. You have the ability to activate the IR without have to be actively recording, so you are able to begin capturing an event at night very quickly, however having the device in IR mode kills the battery very quickly. The IR button is also the same button as a laser pointer option, *(which i'm not entirely sure of the purpose)* and requires you to hold the button in for 3 seconds to activate the IR or anything less than that and it will turn the laser pointer on. Now here's the catch... You have the ability to turn the sound on or off and adjust the volume level of the device. This way when you have successfully done something like, activate the IR option, it makes a short sound to let you know you have done it without having to look at the device. However, when the battery is getting low, it also makes a sound that is a series of beeping/ringing noises that are NOT subtle. So if you are stalking or searching for someone, it will absolutely give you away, regardless of the volume you have the sounds adjusted to. So if you completely turn the sounds off, then you can't hear the indicator noises for things like IR or recording beginning and causes you to spend more time looking at and playing with the device then you probably should be doing. There is a light that is on top of the device facing upwards towards the wearers face. When the device is in standby mode the light is a very bright green color. It may sound dumb, but it does become an issue when working in very dark environments. It not only broadcasts your position, but also affects your own ability to see, as it harms your personal night vision. You have the ability to turn the display off, (the screen on the device itself), while it is in standby or actively recording, which is necessary to preserve battery life. However, if you have the device in standby, and the screen off, you are required to first turn the screen on prior to being able to begin recording. Once recording begins, you can then turn the screen off again without issue. It may sound silly again, but it is less than ideal and took some getting used to as it causes you to take some extra steps when your focus should be else where. Having the ability for recording to be a 1 button push would be nicer. In conclusion, the device is not perfect, but it is still the preferable option to spending the absurd amount of money for an Axon. It has quirks and could improve, but for what it costs, it's worth every penny.

I bought this cam because my Patrol Master was finally wearing out after five years, and I wanted something smaller and simpler for walking around my neighborhood. I like how easy it is to use, just long press to turn it on, short press to record, and the blinking light lets you know it’s capturing video. My only complaint is the battery life, which is pretty short, but that’s mentioned in the listing. Just expect to keep it on the charger often. For the price and video quality, it’s hard to complain.

If it wasn't for this body cameras excellent video, the fact it has a monitor on the back and a few other features most other body cameras don't have the thing would be a negative two stars! First the listing says the batteries last 8 hours... NOT! If they are referring to your using the mic only they MIGHT last 4 on a good day. But if the battery life is based on your using it for the camera as its name suggests, then its not a freaking body camera but a very expensive voice recorder. If that's what I wanted I'd of bought a voice recorder for $10-$20 NOT THIS! Heck my Home Alone recorder pen (if you grew up in the 90s you know that was THE toy to have that Christmas!) Ok back to 2018, it lasted longer on the batteries it took them this. I can't get a battery to last more then 1hr 47mins WITH THE MONITOR OFF and the entire camera is well over 120° the battery got so hot 🔥 the tab glued to the battery to remove it, the one you almost need a damn sledgehammer to get it in there came off! The only way I figured I could remove it without damage was holding onto the camera inside a Crown Royal bag then swinging for my life, that finally got it out. Basically its like they screwed up and forgot to leave a hairs width in the molding process and said 'Oh well...' I figured maybe after the batteries drain and charge a couple of times of have better success but that was a no go. So once I got past the fact that this is not exactly what it says it is or should be let alone last as long as they said upon trying the different features I found the thing just froze was stuck on the last frame and didn't do anything! I couldn't switch modes or even shut it off and so out came the Crown Royal bag, AGAIN! I tried contacting the seller but I couldn't describe all the issues with the few characters they give you so I wrote it in notepad and tried to copy and paste it piece by piece but I keep getting the message not sent, error... over multiple days and finally gave up to write this as HOPEFULLY THE SELLER OR MANUFACTURER WILL READ THIS AND DO SOMETHING BECAUSE NOW I HAVE ALL MY VIDEOS STUCK IN THIS THING, THERES NO BACKUP SD CARD GOD FORBID AND I HAVE TO EITHER COPY OR DELETE THEM IF I CAN EVEN GET THE DAMN THING TO WORK WITH MY LAPTOP! I understand that items are bound to be a lemon from time to time but a bad camera AND 2 bad batteries?! Either way I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS ITEM TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY LAW ENFORCEMENT AS IF ITS TO BE DEPENDED ON THEN FORGET IT, USE YOUR PHONES CAMERA! I will update this post once I get a new one OR refund as if the batteries don't last longer then they take to charge then FIRST I expect the LISTING to be changed and ACCURATE NOT MISLEADING AS IT CURRENTLY IS. SECOND I recieve a replacement, one that actually works and DOESN'T have a fire starting feature once its been on longer then 5 minutes. AND FINALLY IF THE BATTERIES SUCK AS BAD AS THEY DO AND TAKE 3+ HOURS OF CHARGING TO GET 1HR 47MINS IT SHOULD COME WITH A THIRD BATTERY. Because of the thing doesn't turn on then it's just a expensive VERY hot paperweight that might just set the paperwork and your office ablaze!

Love this product, it is so easy to charge and function. The magnetic necklace makes it so easy to were underneath your shirt. Simply adjustable the height of the rope necklace and set it on how high or low you would like. The camera attaches very strongly to the magnetic holder. Then you just press one button and the video starts, when your finished vidieong simple press the button and second time and your done. This device is extremely easy to connect to your laptop and watch and edit your video. Since it is a small device the only negative thing is the battery life. I have about 2 hours of vidieong and then it has to be recharged. Over all I give it a 9 out of 10. Really good and clear video and the audio is also really good. I am surely enjoying mine. I'm sure you guy's will as well.

I like this little camera. It’s really easy to function, particularly with the haptic feedback on what status it’s at, and it can be clipped in many different configurations, and it’s actually quite small so to be almost unobtrusive.

Image quality is decent and it has a lot of mounts, though none are great for a bike in my opinion. The size is good and the belt clip is solid. The main problem that needs to be addressed is the ridiculously bright light that even the stupidest ICE agent will immediately notice even in daylight. Taping over the light would solve the problem if the on and off buzzes were not identical. Because of that there is no way to tell whether you’re turning the camera on or off with yhe light taped. I guess maybe you can tell by the temperature. If it weren’t 110 outside right now. Update: it turns out the camera goes directly into standby mode after unplugging from the charger regardless of the mode it was in prior to charging. I removed another star for this nonsensical behavior and I’m looking for a different camera.

Consiglio questo prodotto sia per chi approccia per la prima volta a questa esigenza, sia per chi ha già un minimo di esperienza nel settore.

I purchased this last week to replace another one I had which sadly lasted only11 days, this one has very easy controls goes to standby to save power one touch recording seems to be all that I currently need easy reviews easy setup , backed by someone on the other line if you get into difficulties, you cannot ask for much more, even currently reduced on Amazon, have has it nearly a week does great job! Don’t forget to order your SD card when purchasing and a harness for easy wear
