Tendak 4K HDMI Switch with PIP 4x1 HDMI Switcher with Remote Control 4 Port HDMI Hub for Laptop, PS3, PS4, Roku, Xbox - Support 4k 3D PIP

This switcher is easy to install - just plug everything in. The remote works beautifully so I don't have to get up and walk across the room every time I want to change the input. I also created a little sticker so I can easily identify which input I want to go to and placed the sticker on the front of the remote. I kept forgetting which input slot was for which device and the sticker helps. This is the second switcher I have bought - same model - because my first one was fried by a lightning storm. The first switch worked flawlessly for several years before the storm. I expect to get many more years from this new one.

This little beauty is a tech junkie's best friend. When we switched from Comcast (internet only) to CenturyLink's internet and Prism TV, we found ourselves HDMI port challenged. But the Tendak not only solved the problem, it actually expanded our possibilities. Our TV has three inputs, and the Prism box occupies HDMI 1. The Amazon Fire TV has slot 2. And the Tendak switcher got the third and final slot.But hooked to this switcher is a 5-disc DVD changer, a Playstation 3, a Playstation 4 and an Alienware PC. Not only does it allow each device to function without endless cable swapping, it does it seamlessly. Turn on any of these devices and the switcher automatically activates that port. You can also use the remote to move from one port to another, so you don't have to power each device off and on to use. The remote even has a picture-in-picture button so you can see each powered device that is not active in small screens to the left.All in all, this HDMI switcher not only solved my problem but provided an outstanding means of expanding beyond my original plan. Awesome product.

Knew from other reviews that the remote may or may not work, so purchased it with that in mind. It is very good at auto switching when you turn devices on and off. If all else fails you can use the button on the front, but hasn't been necessary so far. Does what was need wonderfully and the picture is fantastic.

“Never leave the comfort of your sofa” ... yeah only when I need to change the input. Picture quality works but remote IR is weak and must be a foot or two away from decide to change inputs. We should of returned but it does an OK job and we kept it

Works great and real easy to set up. Using it with a couple DVRs and an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Some loss of picture definition with one of the DVRs but it is an older model and just a few adjustments on the TV fixes the problem. PIP is odd as it's not a real PIP, the images are pulsed a few frames at a time though you can still see what is presented. Does what I wanted it to do.

It's quirky. The remote is terrible. Sometimes it just changes devices on it's own to a different device. It attempts to be smart, but it's not. It's a hassle to work with. It would be better if it just had buttons on the unit to push to select your input. Some devices don't want to turn on because they are not live, and the switch doesn't go to it because it's not on. I ended up with two of these. Exact same thing, different color and name on the box. Next time buy a TV with more inputs. I thought four hdmi inputs would be enough on the TV, but I've got 6 hdmi devices I want connected. Two switches like this one and a 3 device unit. None work as you would want them too.

The auto switching is pretty good, though if you have two sources going and turn one of them off, it isn't smart enough to switch back to the one that's still going.This wouldn't be a huge problem if the remote wasn't awful. It has poor range (10 feet), and you have to point it *exactly* at the device to get it to register. Which means you end up getting up and walking toward the unit while mashing the button over and over again, hoping for it to register. It ends up being faster to just get up and press the button on the device itself, which negates the point of both auto-switching and having a remote.Not a bad device, but not one I'd recommend.

The remote needs to be VERY close to the unit to receive the signal otherwise ok.This company offered me a 50% credit after seeing this review. Good customer service 6 months later.
