Wino Wine Key! - Professional Sommelier's Corkscrew Wine Opener

This is a fantastic wine key the quality is apparent as soon as you open it and hold it. It’s a solid weight & balance, It’s also gorgeous I chose the emerald green pearl handle & have received many compliments. I’m a server and have been using this for 2 months. The blade is sharp to cut the foils precisely & it’s strong enuf to use as a tool to open boxes as well. The double hinges operate smoothly. I’m going to buy a back up one in a different color. So if you’re a server or bartender seeking a quality item that can withstand a lot of use this is a reliable tool. Most definitely an amazing buy for people needing a classy quality wine key for their home use. So many color options to level up your hosting.

I got my first bartending job and the first thing I was told was to get a key. I wanted something that had personality, quality but affordable since it was my first and I didn’t really know how to use one yet. I did the thing most do and showed all my bartending friends and they told me they had the same either now or at some point and they were great so I was really excited. It arrived and there was definitely a learning curve. My boss warned me that mine was trickier than most because I’d need to learn to control how firm I pressed, but once I got it, I got it. It’s a great little tool, the foil cutter does just fine, the parts are springy and a bit stiff but I’m assuming it’ll loosen as I break it in. It’s hefty and sturdy and I doubt it’ll break before a cork or even the bottle would.

I bought it for a gift and my friend loves it. It is so beautiful, strong Material, easy to use, the cork is very easy to remove, worth the price. It exactly what she needs. The only thing I don’t love but is more like a taste thing, for my taste it is a little heavy.

I had been opening bottles of wines for over 20 years, using more or less the standard waiter’s wine key in its different iterations. One time I scored a really fancy heavy duty wine key from a French wine educator for paying attention in her master class, and I realized that some wine keys were built better than others. That wine key was very similar to this one here. That special wine key became a topic of conversation often whenever I went to open a bottle and guests notice the special key. I ended up working in a Michelin restaurant after Covid, and much to my surprise, my boss there one day asked to borrow that wine key because she needed to help open wine at a table. My wine key was never to be seen again. Now that over a year has passed I felt mentally ready to replace my prized wine key. I picked this one in jade green and stainless steel. The key has got weight behind it, which I love. I was raving about the key to some somms, and I was given a bottle to test it out. As expected, it was smooth as butter when performing. The worm (or helix) is nice and sharp, doesn’t make any noise (some corks are squeaky), and the blade is serrated and cuts the foil easily. The boot levers make the cork pull motion effortless, and I popped open that bottle in virtually no time at all. If you’re looking for something that’s heavier duty and a bigger visual bang, this is the perfect wine key. For those who may be inexperienced in opening wine, or are accustomed to the standard waiters wine key, you may need to practice opening a few dummy bottles to get used to the extra weight (and also the bulkier handling), but this thing is a beast and I highly recommend.

I work in a wine cellar and needed a new wine key. This one is very beautiful. "Flashy" as our sommelier describes it. It's very sturdy and the knife is perfectly sharp. My only issues with it is that the double hinge doesn't actually adjust.

Good quality and a nice helping tool for opening bottles.

This is a very handsome little gadget. It works very well. I actually like the even simpler Ah-So two prong cork remover, but those are difficult for many people. This one looks and works great.

Very good quality and sharp on the knife but the pink isn’t the same as the picture wich is I bit upsetting but overall everything look and works fine

After my wine buff brother alerted me to my corkscrew being blunt, I thought I'd better take action. Bought this one on the basis of the good reviews and was not disappointed. It feels well made for the price and I think will last for a long time. My brother has since visited and stress tested the bottle opener. He said it was the real deal so there's your approval right there.
