I purchased this r to replace a previous Rainbird manual controller from 2006 that had some minor issues but was still funtioning properly after 20 years. I was mainly interested in replacing one with a Wifi enabled one that I could control from my cell phone for remote controlling my irrigation system. The controller is inside our house in the basement close to the elctrical boxes (with a plug in on the box) and was quite easy to mount and hook up to replace the old controller. I did have some extra time in hooking up each zone as they are more screw down type of low voltage connector instead of the more easy "snap down" type of connector on my old controller. For the DIY'er like myself, this was a little more difficult hooking up an 8 zone controller. The App was easy to download and get connected to our WiFi and asid from a few software glitches (like other reviews does not always connect to the WiFi on first attemp) but is always working on a second attempt when trying to do a manual watering. It seems a little overly complicated but looks like it has great functionality if you have multiple commercial systems to operate. I was going to leave a 4/5 rating but the controller works 100% in its intended funtions and is so much nicer to set up and program to your exact needs. So far, Bravo!

Swapped out when our older controller with WiFi was malfunctioning and voltage was being observed being sent to multiple valves at the same time. The sprinkler repair tech recommended the Rain Bird over the other brands. I found this at a crazy low price here compared to local places. I installed the unit myself to save some cost. I had installed my previous controller so it went fairly smooth. So far the device has worked flawlessly. The app is very straightforward and was very comparable to the older controller app. This unit did not have a display, only buttons and indicator lights, but the app interface is great. Haven’t really had chance to have any weather delays since Florida is in the dry season. The sprinkler tech did refurbish the old rain sensor and said with the weather reporting and rain sensor we would be in great shape.

Die kompakten Maße waren perfekt für den vorgesehenen Montageplatz. Die Steuerung funktioniert trotz eines schwachen WLAN- Signlas hervorragend. Leider liegen keine passenden Kabeldurchführungen bei, aber das stellt mit ein bisschen Kreativität kein Problem dar. Für die Einrichtung der acht Steuerkreise (Stationen) sollte man sich einen Moment Zeit nehmen, dann kann man auch Fotos hinzufügen. Mit der passenden App "RainBird 2.0" ist das schon eine feine Sache.
