We bought these for our daughter's 8th birthday. They arrived promptly and she practically devoured 3 in the 1st week! They're great for girls. Not really 'boy reads' in my opinion. They're engaging enough and the vocabulary is good. The stories are predictable but that's what you'd expect at this level. My daughter would have all the books in all the series if she could! The's a brown level reader at school and these books are levelled at slightly lower on lime.
