Driving Buddies (Step into Reading) (Cars movie tie in)

Great books for new readers and struggling readers.

Our five year-old son LOVES this book and has requested it to be read to him almost every night over the last few weeks. I almost have it memorized. :-) The story is an easy read before bedtime or any time. It is also simple enough that he can begin reading it to himself, since he's now learning to read. Each page has simple words and short sentences with fun pictures and bright colors. And each story has a nice moral to teach. While other Disney Cars books have stickers, this one does not.The Step into Reading series 2 books are very nice starter books for a child who is learning to read. But it's quick read, so if you're looking for a book to read at bedtime, you might want to add a number of other books like this. I read three or four of these a night before he starts to fall asleep.

Step Into Reading books are all awesome, but we really enjoy the CARS themed stories! As a teacher once told me, find enjoyable books and they will learn the love of reading young. The Step Into Reading Books are numbered with the level book. That is not grade level. For example, level 1 is for preschool to kindergarten. Level 2 is for preschool to 1st grade. We love the colorful graphics and use the pictures to help build vocabulary. This book was purchased for a three year olds library. He takes it to bed every single night!

My son loves Cars and this is the perfect short but fun bedtime story.

So happy with this purchase as well. My son loves the Cars movies so he's genuinely interested in the book. It encourages great interaction between us in terms of answering his many probing questions about the story and hopefully, with enough practice, he will be able to read it on his own soon.

Nice children's book. Large, colourful pictures with one or two sentences in large print. Ideal for reading to a todler, especially if they are mad on the Disney Cars characters in the film.

bought this for my kid, lots of pictures and colours that keeps him entertained. Not many words which is what you would expect. Good value for money
