The Perfect Blend of Power and Portability
I can’t recommend the Nitecore NB10000 Gen 3 Powerbank enough! This sleek, carbon-fiber powerbank has become my go-to solution for staying powered on the go, whether I’m flying internationally or trekking through the wilderness. The first thing that struck me about this powerbank is its design. It’s USB-C only, which is perfect for my iPhone 15 and ensures faster, more reliable charging. The carbon-fiber casing not only looks fantastic but keeps the powerbank incredibly thin and durable. Weighing in at a mere 150 grams (just over 5 ounces), it’s astonishingly lightweight for a 10,000mAh battery. It’s slim enough to slip into my pocket or backpack without even noticing it’s there.International Travel Game-ChangerI recently brought the NB10000 on an international flight, and it was a lifesaver. Between long layovers and the 10-hour journey, I fully charged my iPhone 15 twice. Having my phone powered for in-flight entertainment, music, and staying connected during layovers was a huge relief. The USB-C connection meant fast and efficient charging, so I could top up my phone quickly before landing.Perfect for Backpacking AdventuresThis powerbank also shines in the wilderness. I love backpacking, and every ounce counts when you’re carrying all your gear. The NB10000 is so light that I barely notice it in my pack, yet it provides enough juice for two full charges of my iPhone 15. While I generally keep my phone in airplane mode during trips—using it only for GPS navigation, photos/videos, and journaling—the powerbank lasts me 2-3 days. Sure, it doesn’t have unlimited capacity, but its weight-to-performance ratio is unbeatable for short backcountry trips.Bottom LineThe Nitecore NB10000 Gen 3 strikes the perfect balance between power, portability, and durability. If you’re looking for a lightweight, reliable battery for travel or outdoor adventures, this is the one. Its USB-C-only design might not work for everyone, but for those with compatible devices, it’s an absolute gem. Whether I’m 30,000 feet in the air or miles away from civilization, the NB10000 keeps me connected, and I couldn’t be happier with it!

The closest to perfect that I have found
Worth the extra cost to get the size and weight savings for minimal travel. Charging speed is great. I like that it has 2 USB-C ports (I also carry a tiny USB C to A adapter in case I ever need to connect a USB-A cable). I also like the pass-through charging so I can plug the Nitecore into my wall charger and my phone into the Nitecore - I only need 1 wall charger slot. Also the rounder rubberized corners, and bright yellow accents at the charging ports are nice usability features. If I could change anything it would be to make the blue LEDs less bright since they stay on all night when charging and blue light at night isn't good, especially when trying to overcome jet lag. Orange or red would be a better color for that reason. I just lay something dark on top so the lights don't bother my sleep which isn't a big deal, but I wish I could just turn the lights off when charging.

The Gold Standard
I have multiple power banks from Anker, Baseus, and UGreen. This one tops them all unless you need massive capacity or don’t want to carry a cable. These days, compact size is paramount, and this bank is startlingly small and thin. It also supports pass through charging, which means you can charge it at the same time as another device. So nice. And it looks phenomenal. I absolutely love it.

Lightweight
Very useful for backpacking. Be sure to buy the appropriate charging cords.

Waste of money
Didn’t work. Tried everything to get it to work by troubleshooting everything to use it with my iPhone 14 and a big nothing. Waste of money since apparently it’s software for compatibility isn’t up to date and it felt flimsy.

Update... The Lights are the Problem
As a long-distance hiker, battery power and weight are huge considerations. I have the Gen 2 20k mah battery from Nitecore, but wanted to try this newer Gen 3 10k mah version. It is extraordinarily light and I like the features (USB-C ports only, pass-thru charging, and it charges fairly quickly), but this thing wouldn't charge my S24+ one full time. The phone has a 4900 mah battery and this 10k block would only get it to around 90% before it was dead. WTF? I know 10K doesn't mean it can discharge 10K, but c'mon... it should at least give me a full charge and then some. Within 10 minutes of charging my phone, the first battery lite went off (it now has 4 lights to indicate how much juice is left). Within 15 minutes two lights were off. I used 50% of the power in 15 min?I'm gonna charge the battery again and give it another shot, but I can't suggest buying this battery bank until this is sorted out. My 20k Gen 2 works fine.Update: after many more tests it is now clear that the four lights they use to tell the user how much battery juice remains do not match reality. The first three lights shut off in a short amount of time while charging (making one think the battery is below 25%), but then the last light will keep charging for hours. This is not acceptable for hikers who need an accurate representation of how much battery they truly have so they can adjust usage on trail. If I go by the lights, I would think I was below 25% when in reality, it appears (without the ability to do any benchmark testing) that the battery still has well over 50-60% of juice left.
