Confident Parenting

I rarely finished enrichment books... Most of the time they are too long to keep my attention. This is a good book (and it's not too long). If you're uncertain how to begin with family planning (I don't mean having kids, but planning on how you want to raise your kids) then this is a good place to start. The book gives great examples without being overwhelming. It's encouraging too! Many of the topics covered for planning I've already begun. It's important to remember that kids aren't little for long. Time goes by so fast...don't wait until it's too late to start raising your kids with intention.

I enjoyed this book immensely. It is well-written and quite practical. Anyone seeking to bless their children would benefit from reading this book, and considering how to best implement the biblical strategies included in it for their families. Those who seek to lead their children into a vibrant faith in Jesus need to be practical and deliberate or will miss the mark by default. The ideas presented in this book will be quite helpful.....

When learning from Jim Burns, I so appreciate his honesty, his realistic look at things, and specific (but not cookie-cutter) advice. I have highlights so many sections in this book... And due to his take on things, I feel hope of implementing some amazing concepts (vs overwhelmed or feeling like a failure).So thankful I have Homeward as a resource in this amazing job of raising my daughter.

I classify parenting books into "How To Parent" and "What To Teach". This is a how to book. It gives some good tips on making your children feel cared for but not spoiled.

This book has helped me in ways I never though imaginable. I have already started using a lot of the tips and suggestions given throughout this book to keep myself in line with what God has planned for me and my children. Thank you for this guide to parenting.

Excellent resource for parents and raising kids. Jim Burns writes with authority on the subject of raising confident kids. Great read and application!

There's a lot of common sense but it's spelled out in a practical and inspiring way. I'd highly recommend this book!

For any parent raising kids, this is a wonderful resource to read. I wish I had read it when mine were younger, but it's never too late to begin influencing kids in positive and affirming ways, and just being there for them.
