Sunny Health & Fitness Compact Hydraulic Rower with 12-Level Resistance

Really good little machine its very basic but was just what I needed. the only issue I had was the fact that I am only 4'10" therefore my legs don't get enough push because they are very short (No fault of the machine of course) however my upper body gets a decent workout I would say this machine is well built and super easy to put together. (less than two mins) Its worth the price and is light enough for any one at any age to move around.

This machine was so easy to put together. Most of it was already fixed in place and what was left to do needed a couple of tools, which were supplied, so you don’t even need a tool kit! Even the little computer that counts your rowing, calories etc. come with batteries supplied. It took me 5 minutes to set it up!It has 12 settings. I started at number 1, but that offered absolutely no resistance, so I upped it until I was comfortable with number 9. After a few days, I put it up to number 10 and I’m happy with that. I only do about 10 minutes every morning and sometimes through the day. I really enjoy it. It is a workout for your entire body, but unlike other exercises, I don’t hurt myself. I bought it because I had become so unfit during lockdown. This builds strength in your entire body. I read the reviews first and that’s what convinced me to buy it. It’s worth every penny, and actually it was quite cheap considering how well made it is. And if you’re not a ‘gym’ person, but want to get fit, this definitely helps!

Would easily have awarded 5 stars but one of the 2 bolts that you have to fix the handle on was far too short. I had to rummage around in the shed to find a suitable replacement. That said, it is my only real criticism as the piston is quiet, the seat comfortable enough, and the adjustment to alter the resistance of the piston is simple and easy to use. The rowing machine is really very good, light, quiet, simple to use. and quick to put together (apart from that single pesky short bolt). If they could find a way to fold down the handle after us so it could be slid under a bed out of the way that would make a big improvement. I would suggest a 'quick release bolt' at the base of the handles upright where it pivots as you pull the arm back. IT really is good, a great buy, especially for the price.

Delivered today. Took about 30 mins to assemble but it was only attaching main bits to frame so no fiddly bits. Absolutely love it and does exactly what I wanted.I am 56 yrs old and 5ft 1”. I’ve lost 4 stone through weight loss surgery and still a long way to go but due to a tear in my cartilage when doing the Couch25k I was scared of knee impact so needed an alternative and I’m definitely not a gym person. A rowing machine seemed a good alternative and after some research I chose this.Machine is brilliant and even after 20 minutes I could feel my tummy area. I put the tension on 4 out of 12. The rowing action can just be straight back and fore or the “oars” move on a pivot like a sculling action which, if you keep your elbows high, I’m sure will tone the back of the arms which I wanted. Instructions recommend exercising in periods of 20 mins to allow hydraulics to cool down and it was “warm” when I finished. As I’m so short I couldn’t use full extent of the bar but I still got a good work out and will easily suit a person with longer legs. I intend to exercise for 20 mins every day and can see me increasing the tension. I’m wondering if a person a lot more powerful in the arms and legs would find it isn’t challenging enough and the hydraulics may overheat sooner (although have not tried level 12) but it’s a good strong piece of equipment and perfect for me.I would definitely recommend this rowing machine and the price was extremely reasonable.

This is a sturdy and good quality rowmaster, mostly assembled and well-packaged. Delivery was prompt. Although it is solid it is not heavy to move, fold and store. Minimal assembly was required with the piston, handlebar and digital meter requiring attaching. It is comfortable to use with a good seat and secure floor support. A very affordable item and certainly good value. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed with this rowing machine, I believe it to be the best investment I've done in quite some time. It is very sturdy, yet light. I'm 5'3 and it's perfect size for me - not too big as I have limited space. It was very easy to install and I keep it upright against the wall between workouts. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a really nice rowing machine. It was very easy to construct, it didn't take long at all. It's a really sturdy build, doesn't feel flimsy or likely to break, and has a nice big comfy seat and good size foot rests. In terms of its use, the little computer it comes with is extremely basic. You can count your strokes and the time you've been on the machine, but it doesn't have a timer, and you have to calculate the SPM yourself. It has 12 adjustable levels, but even as a beginner, anything under 7 doesn't give a great workout, so that's a bit limiting. The hydraulics heat up pretty fast, so it's advisable to stop after about 20 minutes and leave it to cool. This can be a bit annoying if you're just getting into it and want to carry on - but you can also do a decent workout either in bursts of twenty minutes, with gaps, or just doing sprints for 20 minutes. Its really quiet, you can listen to music or even watch TV while using it without any problem, and the arms fold in making it easy to store. The leg space is good - I'm 5'7" and have loads of space, it would definitely accommodate someone much taller without any issues. Overall, despite its limits, its a really great machine for the price, and I'm extremely happy with it.

Bought this during Amazon Prime Day(s). Thought it was a good deal at the time, until I noticed the price dropped even further afterwards. I won’t be fooled by the hype next time. Still, it’s a good machine.

This machine is amazing. I was able to put it together in about 20 minutes. I LOVE the full range of motion that mimics actual rowing. I live on the second floor in a condo, and it is so quiet that I can use it every weekday morning at 5:30. I feel so much stronger, and it is a great workout for the arms, back, hips and thighs. It takes up very little space as well but is sturdy. The seat is not wildly comfortable, but is fine for a 30 minute workout. Highly recommend.
