split this packet & put in 2 new Italian Bee nucs I started this season. The bees are in their second week with me & after one week the pollen patty was eat up. Its has the consistency of peanut butter & has wax paper on one side. It was put inside a old style large sandwich baggie without the zip lock seal & mine slid out & was stuck to the envelope box it was shipped in. These new nucs seam to be doing well & i suppose these pollen patties helped. I would buy again.

Bought this for my brother, on father's day. He has started a bee hive. With great success.

I’m a first year beekeeper, so everything is new for me here in Colorado. September now, so I ordered this to help my bees make healthy brood for winter. Not knowing what to expect, I cut off about a quarter of the patty and put it in an internal feeder tray. My bees immediately began chewing off the wax paper, the next day the patty warmed up and the paper easily peeled off the top. I let them clean off the pollen stuck to the paper and removed the clean paper the next day as well as turning the patty over and peeling off the paper on the bottom. Easy to use

Thin slab with what appears to be wax paper on both sides, placed in plastic bag to minimize air contact and shipped in stiff cardboard sleeve..product arrived fresh, soft and pliable for all my pollinator friends who'll be about very soon to enjoy!!

It's so sticky, and the wax paper is so thin, it's hard to separate (never got it off). I'm not sure if it's designed to leave the paper on and let the bees eat it. I have not found where it says that one way or the other.

My bees absolutely loved it. They are working hard to draw out foundationless comb, and consumed the lb of pollen in less than a week. I will be purchasing again.
