Installation and setup
Installation was easy as w/out heatsink. 4TB and 2TB with HS bought and installed. Using the suggested Samsung Magician to clone the existing O/S drive onto the new 2TB SSD was a breeze. Any SSD enclosure will do. I used my ROG Strix Arion enclosure for the receiving SSD. I used the enclosure again with the 4TB SSD, to transfer the files from the existing 1TB SSD. That done, swapped the 1TB out for the 4TB. The 1TB swapped out has taken up residence in my ROG enclosure. My Mobo is a Asus X-570 TUF PCIe4. I have my operating system and programs installed on a 2TB 990 Pro M.2w/HS, files and documents on the 4TB 990 Pro SSD M.2 and my ROG went from a intel 512GB pull to a Samsung 980 Pro SSD M.2 I also run a WD NAS of 8TB. Lots of working room and storage space. I'm a gamer and photographer. Need the speed and storage space. These SSD's by Samsung are fast and reliable. I highly recommend these M.2's. Even the 2.5mm drives, can wake up your old laptop and be put to use in an upgrade. Many tower cases have a couple of indents on the back panel to install 2.5mm SSD's. My first 2.5mm 2TB 870 EVO is also in my now upgraded tower. That is 8TB's of SSD's installed.
