I tried this to smell a different product while showering & it actually worked better than *insert any popular brand.* the only think that I didn’t like was the price point, but to my surprise it was worth it to dabble in seasonally because you don’t need to use alot for it to lather well. My skin glowed ( beautiful sheen) in the dark. It was very moisturized BEFORE I moisturized myself lightly. The smell is refreshingly sweet without over powering. I also use a bar soap on my personal areas, & for reasons that are important to me along with this Shea moisture body wash (any body wash to be honest). I did NOT use it on my face, I have a specific regimen for my sensitive combo skin. It seems to rinse clean with no itching. Did I mention the smell?

Lovely product (SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Body Wash). I will repurchase soon but I am not out of the product yet. It is soft on the skin physically. It does bubble up and it does not ruin self tanner if used only with hands. I have not noticed any problems on my skin but I don't have any knowledge of people who have a severe skin disorder. It smells amazing (very French Vanilla scent). In my opinion, the product is a great value for the money. I received this product on June 11th 2026 and I still have some left with showering everyday (almost 2 months so far). You do not need much product to get a full body wash. I pair this with Raw Shea Butter Unrefined Moisturizer for after the shower (especially on my legs after shaving) - the Shea Butter Moisturize I use is not from the same brand - it is separate but still available on Amazon.

I’ve been using the SheaMoisture African Black Soap Body Wash for a while now, and it has quickly become a staple in my daily routine. Smells rich and dark and resinous, like amber, and leaves my skin super smooth without irritating my psoriasis or eczema. The bottle isn't huge, but it lathers so well, a little really goes a long way, so I think the bottle will last forever. It also scores a "good" rating of 72/100 on Yuka, which is about as high as you can get at this VERY affordable price point. Before this, I had been using Alafia Everyday Shea (lavender) but it was very expensive, did not lather nearly as well, and was rated poorly on Yuka. While I miss the lavender scent, I really do love the way this smells and am super happy I gave it a shot!

Tgis is a basic shower soap but very lathering your skin, natural ingredients and never leaves me rashes or dry skin like other soaps. It’s officially my regular shower soap now. I can’t believe I gotta find tgis pretty late throughout the year trying so many brands. I am happy to support tgis African business too.

The bottling was unexpected but I like the surprise easy to dry when wet .
