Very comfy
Living in NJ means enduring some chilly winters, especially when working outdoors. That's why I decided to order this coat for my father-in-law, and it's been a hit. He stays comfortably warm all day long, and the generously sized pockets are perfect for holding his phone and other essentials. This coat is ideal for work because it doesn't have hand pockets, yet it still provides excellent warmth. The lined hood adds an extra layer of coziness, while the unlined sleeves ensure freedom of movement without sacrificing warmth. Overall, it's proven to be a fantastic choice for braving the cold during outdoor work sessions.

Dad Approved!
My dad has been wearing the same winter coat for well over a decade now. He’s one of those gruff old men who’s resistant to change, and he was frustrated he even had to try this coat on when I gave it to him for Christmas. A month later, and he’s tossed ol’ reliable away! This is his new favorite coat ever. It fits his large frame wonderfully, and he’s been seriously impressed by how warm it’s kept him on our single digit days in NY. It helps that Swiss Army is a brand he’s familiar with and trusts. He’s so difficult to shop for, but this gift made both of our Christmases. So pleased with this purchase.

Warm And Stylish Jacket!
I do like this jacket quite a bit. I've received many jackets from Amazon and some of them are just poorly made. This one, however, is not one of them. It is quite warm and I've worn it out in single digit weather without getting cold. It is also very comfortable and I like the fit of the jacket as I am rather tall but it still reaches low enough to cover the top of my pants. It looks nice and the fabric is also nice looking and feeling. Overall, I am very happy with the jacket and think I'll keep it for next winter as well.

Warm jacket with couple of awkward pockets but at a terrific value
This jacket looks warm. I tried it, and truly it is. the sherpa lining helps a lot to keep you warm, even though it doesn't cover the whole inner surface. I wore it on several NY subzero days, and it fared well overall. I liked the streamlined overall design and size truly fit to size which is a great plus. However, i have some issues with some smaller details. it is called a cargo jacket, but it lacks enough pockets. nothing on the inside (like a chest slot where i usually put my wallet, for example), and no side pockets (where you could comfortably tuck your hands in for more warmth). it has two front pockets that are big enough but awkwardly placed to put your hands in if needed. I think this is important for a jacket that is supposed to keep you warm. There are tinier finishing details, like for instance the bottom of the back, when the jacket is not closed, tends to flip to the back, so i have to constantly keep sure it is straightened up as it should. On the upside, this comes with a terrific almost unbeatable value. That brings the score up to a well deserved 4 stars (4.5, if i could).+ Warm jacket with inner sherpa lining+ Terrific value+ Comfortable to wear and fits to size- Lack of side or inside pockets- Sewing and finishing details could be better

good heavy jacket, not waterproof but very warm
I used this as a donation to a local coat drive over the winter. The jacket was good quality and felt quite warm when I tried it on. The fabric doesn't feel waterproof but I wasn't expecting it to be so not a deal breaker. The sherpa lining is heavy and made the jacket nice and warm. Simple design without a bunch of bells and whistles. Overall good quality and well made. Recommended.

Runs Small!
My husband wears a 2XL top (hoodie, sweater, shirt, tank top, etc) in every brand. This runs wayyy too small. He is 6’2 and 275 lbs., but the sleeves are way too short and way too tight around his bicep. He said that if he folded his arms, the shoulder portion would definitely rip Hulk style. The chest is wide enough and has some space, but everything else is way too tight. Either size up, or not recommended for powerlifting/bodybuilder type bodies.

It is nice...but- updated
So I took a couple of photos of this coat so you could see what im on about here. This is a nice coat and it's good for the price. I went out in 30 degree PA winter weather and it was warm enough, but with a thick sweater underneath. You can see it is lined fairly well with that soft Sherpa stuff and it is very comfortable, too.The pockets are a bit of a let down. I mean you get one small pocket on one arm. You get two larger pockets that open from the top only. Mostly any coat ive ever had also had pockets you could stuff your hands into from the sides. So that's a bit of a miss. It is a winter coat after all.Now look at the photos. You can see where the lining ends. There is a clear gap at the front and the arms do not have the liner showing inside. Now I'm in PA so 30 degrees is sort of mild. When we get the wintery blast I will see how this fares and come back to let you know. For now I say it's pretty good but could be better. For $50 I would say it is worth having. That's the for now opinion but as I said, we are going to have to see how this holds up to some proper cold weather. Will let you know.Update... Ok so I went out for a bit in nice crispy 19 degree weather and this isn't bad at all. Changed it to a four star rating. For $50 it's good.Basically it managed to fend off the cold. I mean I could almost feel some cold seeping in but not in a way that was bothersome, and this with a shirt on underneath. For the price I would say this works out as a fairly decent buy.
