NECA Friday The 13th Prop Replica Jason Mask (Part 3)

My son is extremely detail oriented when it comes to putting together his Halloween costumes! He’s 13 and starts planning months ahead of time. He’s a big Friday the 13th fan. So when I went shopping I was looking for the mask closest to the one used in part III. Which it is an awesome replica. However, even though that it can officially be worn, it is a movie prop replica. He loves the mask, but said it’s uncomfortable to wear for longer periods of time. So keep this in mind that you’re getting a movie prop replica that’s well made, and very detailed. But it is a better show piece than it is something worn for Halloween etc.. And I can’t complain, or make my rating lower because it’s exactly what it says it is.

I got my mask today. SUPER WELL MADE! heavy built. absolutely love it. well worth the money. GO BUY YOU ONE. Will last for decades.

This mask was a hit for a Halloween party. The detail and quality are outstanding. I realize it is a collector mask and not really meant to be worn because it’s slightly heavy, made of resin (not plastic), and has a pressure point. I wore it without issue on and off for several hours. I have a very large head (xxl men’s hat size) and this mask was not too tight. As mentioned there’s a flat pressure point at the inside front of the mask on the forehead. I used clear surgical tape to secure two cotton balls to that area and it resolved the issue. This did not affect the appearance of the mask. I will use it again next year.

I purchased this mask after searching everywhere for a decently priced, durable mask. After opening the package I was overjoyed. In my hand, the mask feels like it can take a bat to the face. The paint on the mask is highly detailed and looks exactly how it looked in the Friday The 13th Part 3 movie. Putting it on my head, I find it comfortable and the adjustable straps really helped me get it to the perfect balance. The holes in the mask are large and can easily breathed through and the eye holes let me see plenty. I plan on combining this with the Jason Mask of his actual face for Halloween this year and i think it is gonna look sick.

Sure this mask doesn't match my title, but I'm referring to that Jason now lives in my house! I was so excited upon arrival I was late to band practice because I decided to start Halloween early. I threw on dark blue work pants, black boots, a black flannel (still need a good Jason shirt, but it worked), grabbed my machete and the mask and then visited my parents by the pool in a slow, stalking manner. They were pretty stoked about how awesome the ensemble looked. I'm very happy with the mask and find it pretty authentic. I like how the eyes are just ever so misaligned, allowing you to look your eyes are a little lopsided just like Jason himself! Fanstastic product.

I wanted this ever since I dressed up as Jason for Halloween 2015. I had to make do with a cheap one I found at a grocery store. It was too tight around my left eyebrow and it started to become uncomfortable after a while. I did find an officially licensed foam one mainly for the plastic machete it came with. I've read other reviews on Amazon and I can see where some come from regarding the quality. The holes on mine aren't exactly symmetrical, most notably on the cheeks. However, it looks good. Really good. The paint is done to, I guess give the impression that it's made of wood (?). And it is yellowed, I assume "Yellowed" as in "It used to be white". My only complaint is the forehead is flat and bent inward. It pushes against my forehead and I can assume it could end up causing some pain with extended wear..

Solid good looking replicsa. Its not comfortable to wear but it fits great on a foam filled mask
