The best OBD tool I have ever used so far for the Can Network
Helped me with lots of problems so far and I own a 2010 Chrysler Town And Country. OK so far I love this particular unit works wonders has helped me pass inspection a few times already and has saved me thousands the steelier dealers would have charged me. Gives me Live Data I am able to view while driving coolant temperature the cat temperature the o2 sensors and many more a great diagnostic piece of equipment. You can even run some tests freeze frame erase codes and most importantly properly diagnose your vehicle if you have a newer can running CAN network than you need this especially if you are like me and purchased a new LEMON CHRYSLER MINIVAN.I am very happy with my purchase many options and you can even update this unit when they have a new update for i. This procedure is very simple read the instructions it came with trust me you will be happy. If anyone has any questions just ask I am here to help if I can. Please also note I am not telling you to drive and look at this unit as a distraction because it would be illegal it is equivalent to someone texting on a phone so please use caution have someone in the passenger seat relay readings to you. UPDATE: 8/14/2016 Thank god I made this purchase today I was set up for a emissions inspection coincidental as I started the vehicle in the morning I get a charm buzzer going off then the check engine light so I put this bad boy on and found emissions code for a small leak P0442 which is Evaporation System Malfunction, Small Leak detected. I checked all I could and at the time also smelled gas vapor went followed the smell found a loose gas cap tightened the gas cap erased the code drove around for a while it's been 3 weeks now and code did not come back and in between had about 6 fill ups of gas and no code today I will have to call dealer to set up another inspection appointment. If the dealer took the car in as is I would have paid a $150.00 diagnostic fee then they would have installed a new gas cap costing $50.00 with labor --LMAO--- a fee of $278.00 in all this is how much I just saved by purchasing this unit still love it thank you OTC.Chrysler Lemon

Can't wait to use it, same as
Before I purchased this I noticed it is the same as the Actron CP9575 Auto Scanner Trilingual OBDII and CAN Scan Tool, UNSURE IF THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME FEATUREES,and there are alot of reviews of it where there was only one for the OTC here. It is the same tool, same case, different plastic color, same screen and same features, thought the actron description page gives a full comparison of what this offers against their more expensive or cheaper ones.I remember several decades ago I was taking training in auto repair, that the big name brands for shops was OTC and Snap On for fancy scan tools, so maybe it was the name brand, ha, likely made by some other company now that I noticed the actron page, this otc and actron brands are both "SPX Company" owned.Recently I thought this didn't have "graphing" and wanted to return it, but when it arrived I discovered it does indeed have graphing, and I confirmed what a more expensive Actron CP1985 autozone purchased($200) had shown, a bad maf sensor, so I am gonna keep it even though I rushed out and bought a cp9185 before this arrived cause I knew for sure it had graphing, was available at a parts store, and way too much money, but I had to take another out of town trip in just days and needed answers immediately.I like this little scanner, very powerful for the money I paid for it on sale, not full price, it may not be the same as the actron that looks the same. I guess now that I own the actron bigger scan tool, and this one, that it is okay to crosscheck any troubles with both tools, real important since I am putting alot of miles on a used 2003 kia rio all over my state for important doctors appointments in the va system of healthcare. So anyway, YES, THIS DOES GRAPHING, AND IT DOES IT WELL. Any of the other features, like component location etc, don't know, my kia is a car they won't even print a haynes or chilton home repair manual, its a korean made car, I'm just lucky it has a good compatible obdII port.

Good tool bad software.
The scanner by itself works well. There is no update for Ram 1500 2014, but the software in the tool is from 8/2014. So it is limited to generic list and the descriptions are generic. The software for win 8 does do anything besides potential upgrade of the tool software. But it is small, handy in the car and it does the basic functions. Tool 5 stars, tool software 1star, PC software 1 star.

Very good tool to have
Very good tool to have. I don't use much on my vehicles cause they are newer, but relatives I do and it helps a lot it gives a lot of information then just a code.
