Good book...one error
Although I appreciate Mr. Rhodes book that clarifies many confusions, I must take issue with his saying that the ESV (English Standard Version) takes a 'formal equivalence' approach to Bible translation. I believe just the opposite, that the ESV reflects the Calvinist bent of its translators. I view the ESV as John Calvin's translation, and not the Word of God. So to me it's as worthless a translation as 'The Message', just another man's opinion and certainly not a literal word-for-word translation.

Highly Recommend!
Ron Rhodes is definitely one of my favorite authors. He is clear and concise in his writing, logical, and always basis what he says in Scripture. He clearly has a passion to answer Bible questions in regards to exposition, theology, and apologetics. This book really filled a lot of theological gaps I had in my mind, answering questions in a direct and clear way. The book is set up in question and answer formant which I found very helpful. The organization of and questions in the chapters make it read like a theology book of frequently asked questions, with some apologetics at the end. I know I will use this book as a reference for the rest of my life.I highly recommend this work.

As a student of the Bible, I love this book because the Bible becomes real as I hear questions others ask about God. I still hear them advertising this book on one station I listen to. I have not had time to read it through yet, but it is more to search out answers for questions I myself have. Makes a great gift for Sunday School or Christian School teachers and for anyone who wants to apply Scripture to their lives. Everyone has an opinion or question about God, so it should be interesting even if you are not into "religious" things.

Significantly Expanded my Bilical knowledge
My wife heard Mr. Rhodes on the radio and was very impressed with his commentary. I bought the book next day and loaded it on to our Kindle. He posits typically heard questions about the meaning of specific passages in the bible and answers them with explanations of translation from original Greek and Latin scriptures, comparative passages from the Old Testament, archeological data supporting the original scriptures and Clear Logic.Read this book and your religious beliefs will be greatly enhanced by the information presented in "The Big Book of Bible Questions".You will teach the agnostics, atheists, and non practicing Christians the truth of the Bible.

Good for a Sunday School class.
It's our official Sunday School study guide. I picked it because it seemed to have substance. We don't always agree with the author. He seems to state emphatically that it is the way he thinks and discount anything other. We call him on it. It does spark some lively Methodist conversation. We try to take a chapter a week, but it usually goes for 2.

Another Winner by a great writer!
Please see my review of Mr.Rhodes' book, " 40 Days Through Revelation ".As I stated there also, Ron Rhodes has a way of taking a difficult subject and making it understandable. In my opinion, he is one of today's best Christian authors. His theology is solid ( again, in my opinion ) and he brings his point across with clarity. This book is just what the title says. You'll find answers to questions that may have perplexed you for years,Again, as with " 40 Days Through Revelation ", I highly recommend this book for anyone seeking Biblical answers from a well versed theologian.

Apologetics
An interesting book. Lots of information from a conservative position. The author often makes reference to a range of views without forcing his own on the reader. This is one of many books in this area of Christian apologetics and is a good book to have on the shelf when formulating answers to difficulties posed by skeptics or simply by those church people who are unsure about their beliefs. I found the book to be helpful in providing reasoned answers to problems and difficulties although the 'competition' by other authors is very keen and opinions might differ as to which books are the best. Even if this book isn't found to be the best one in the bunch it is certainly well worth reading.

Would disagree with some of his answers.
Really didn't enjoy reading this. You don't have to pray first to saved. Just faith.

This book is fascinating as it makes finding Bible themes so easy. I have used it at Bible Study and it really helped us with some understanding of what the Bible teaches.
