Power Probe Parasitic Draw Monitor with OBDII Connection (PPDRAW)

Perfect. I mostly use for replacing car batteries so as not to loose memory. Works great for looking for parasitic draws. Just plug into vehicle communication port and follow directions as well as use common sense. Connects via Bluetooth on phone, tablet, computer using app. Great value for the price just in ease of use and time saved. Nice storage case too.

A little expensive for what's basically a battery with a Bluetooth ammeter, but so simple to use that it's my new favorite tool. Charge it up, plug it into the OBD-II DLC, turn on Smart Output mode, then disconnect the battery and it continues to power modules and shows you an accurate current draw (in this case, about 115mA). Coupled with the PP Fuse Monitor, I found and killed the parasitic draw in under an hour, then went and watched TV while keeping an eye on the current draw on my phone as modules powered down to confirm that the draw was gone (a much more reasonable 13mA after pulling the fuse for the Comfort Access door handle sensors). Just need to figure out which door has the bad sensor now.

Excellent tool. Made it very easy once i pulled a fuse that seemed like it was drawing amperage this device comfirmed it by showing a lower ma. I would highly recommened to anyone doing parasitic draws.

This tool works great! Helped me trace down a very difficult draw.

The power probe ppdraw is an excellent tool to have its easy to use and you get the results of a draw on your vehicle battery quicker than going through the the test with multimeters the ppdraw is a time saver and the instructions are very good for first time users

My girlfriend started experiencing complete battery drainages every other week. After replacing multiple batteries and the alternator, I took the car to the dealership. They told me there was no draw and the new alternator was bad. I replace the alternator again. I took the car back to the dealership again and sthey still could not find a draw. This was all in a span of 3 months. I stumbled on this tool and found the parasitic draw right away. It was a faulty part installed several months prior. I even told the dealership about the installed part but again they could not detect a draw. I do not understand why a dealership wouldn't have the necessary tools to detect a parasitic draw. Every dealership should have this tool and they should stop charging that $200-$300 diagnositc fee without detecting the parasitic draw. I was absolutely going insane trying to figure out the cause of the battery drainage. This tool saved my sanity. Thank you so much for creating this tool!!

Works great. Helped me find a current draw on a mercedes. Easy to use. Only issue was having to change a setting to keep from turning off after a certain amount of time.

実際に寄生電流値が高い車両の特定作業で使用しましたが、モニターで電流値の把握もできるためとても便利です。 寄生電流測定以外では、バッテリー交換時やバッテリーを外さないといけない作業でのバックアップ電源としても重宝しています。 ちなみに寄生電流の特定に関しては同メーカーのPPFUSEと併用が効率が良いので、購入の際はPPDRAWとPPFUSEの2点同時に購入することをオススメします。(金額はかかりますが笑)

Works great, have been able to easily find a few draws already and cut down on diag time. A thing to remember though, is this 12v battery within the unit can accidentally wake up some modules, so be careful when verifying actual causes.
