These are great for if you suffer with a bad back, suffer with poor mobility or if you just get a kick out of pinching the buttocks of family members while they're not looking. Either way, they come in really handy.

I was given a similar one by the hospital after major surgery and thought I would try this one at home as well. It is nowhere near as useful. It is cumbersome and quite awkward to open and close unless you use the handle in a certain way. It has no magnet on the end which the other version has and being a sewer it is invaluable for picking up stray pins from the floor. We don't use this one but bought another which has the different closure for which I would give ten out of ten. The other one is lighter and you can pick things up more precisely, it has one arm that closes rather than these awkward two arms that come together. It's been a totally disappointed buy. It may come in useful for picking up leaves in the garden or rubbish, but in the house for myself I don't like it at all and only use the other ones, we bought two extras from our local Mr 50p.

Very handy as easily carried out of sight in my large handbag. Readily grips and picks up small and large items but not heavy ones. The horse-shoe shape of the gripper is handy for help with dressing. I found the 'squeeze' type trigger more difficult to use than the finger triggers of other makes so it would suit a stronger hand than mine. Gripped more strongly than I could I think it would then easily hold onto heavier objects. Very happy with my purchase

Very handy for me because I can't bend or stretch. It's surprising how small the items it can pick up and how big heavier items it can pick up. I wouldn't risk it on something of value that's heavy but it can hold a good few lbs of weight.

This is the best fold up grabber going, all lot better than the other one I brought last year that was metal on the tongs, and it folds up a very good size and fitted in my case for the hospital great, if ever you need a fold up grabber this is the one for you.

I bought this for myself. I'm not disabled or enfeebled, just lazy. But I love this handy little tool so much, I use it every day. I bought one for my elderly mother too and she likes it (the grabber, not being elderly).

The grabber pick up works well on picking up many items from a seated or standing position. It doesn't like things like phones, tablets and remote controls etc that have ended up on the floor. All in all it is good at what I wanted it for - assistance in putting on underclothes and trousers after my hip operation.

Poor quality and very lightweight. Might be ok for picking a tv remote or small, light items provided you can pjxk them at the balance point but thats about it. Can't pick a ripe apple off a tree or lift the Sunday Times and is fixed length so cannot retract so you need good arm movement. I bought the 2-pack so more fool me.
