This was used with a WiiU, but I believe it will work with PS3 and PS4.

No. This base works on Wii U, PS3, PS4 only.

Does this work on the PS5? I know that the PS4 disc does so does the portal?

We must have gotten a bad one, my son could never get it to work on his ps4. Plus it's like obsolete and hard to get things for Lego dimensions now.

Works perfectly fine on the PS4

Works as intended. You can buy those little circle tag things, use a phone that has NFC, and with the right app, you can put any Lego character on that tag. Place the tag on the middle or the platform thing on this, works like a charm no issue. Son loved it, and so did my wallet for how much money we saved not having to buy all those Lego things.
