First things first. Before I ordered the soap, I took it upon myself to do a little research. I've read every single review and piece of information that I could find. About the company and the bar of soap. One thing's for sure, I paid close attention to the negative reviews. So, this review is strictly based on my experience. Okay, the soap cost $12.00. Therefore I did not want to be wasteful with it. When it arrived, I opened the box and I thought "Wow" this is a very large bar of soap! One lady said that she sliced her bar into three equal sized blocks. That was an awesome idea! So much so that once I did that, the blocks were still fairly thick! After staring at them for a few minutes, I sliced each one of those through the side. The same way you would slice a loaf of bread. Now, this gave me "Six" nicely sized and easy to handle bars of soap! I put the other "5" back in the box and put it away. The scent was different because I've never smelled a bar of soap with these ingredients. But okay, this is what Tumeric and Clove smells like together. Fine. It was said that the cloves would far off the bar and clog the drain. To avoid this, I'd just remove the clove before it fell off the bar! The next complaint was that the bar became smushy. After I was done with the bar, I stored it in a nice, neat covered soap dish! Therefore, mine never got smushy! I used my first bar twice a day, making sure it was dry and the soap dish was dry before putting the cover on it! After using it twice a day for 7 days, my skin was truly beginning to brighten up! My husband noticed first! I needed something to help dry up my pimples on my face. Within a couple of days, the soap did just that! I was amazed! Then I began to notice the dark spots it had here and there lighten up! And during this time, my skin never felt overly dry. Just nice and soft. One lady said consistancy is the key. She was absolutely right! After each use, because I'm African-American I like to use a little Ambi before I go outside during the day and before I go to bed. I got my bar one week before Christmas. Today is 1-15-2021, i just finished my first bar!!! Tonight I pulled out another slice. I still have "4" slices left! My experience with this soap has been nothing short of amazing! Care for your bar and consistancy is the key!!! Thank you!

I can't rave enough about this, but I will attempt to keep this as short as I can. A couple of years ago I started struggling with a hormonal acne, I recently started a prescription that has definitely helped with the cystic/hormonal acne but I was still sometimes getting other pimples on the surface so I knew I needed something different. I also was experiencing some scarring from the cystic acne so I was really starting to get frustrated. I bought this for my body initially but I thought I might as well try it on my face too because I've heard turmeric soap helps with dark spots and scarring. It only took about 3 days for me to see and feel a noticable difference in the clearness of my skin and I can't tell you if the dark spots are going a way, but I feel like that is something I'll find out after long term use. It's been about a month and so far my skin has been almost 100% clear. I wish I would have tried this sooner, would have saved me a lot of stress and money that I spent on face wash and serums and all the other stuff I tried.

Makes my skin feel amazing, and I really enjoy the scent. I feel a little nervous using it too much as it is very pricey, and If I were to run out too soon, I want to be sure I can get more, and it's a lot higher in price than other chemical-based soap. Is my health worth this battle? I think so.

This soap is amazing. I’ve used turmeric soap in the past and forgot how great it was until my daughter asked me to buy her some to get rid of her acne scars. Let me tell you, this soap is absolutely amazing. The dermatologist prescribed Cyspera to get rid of her acne scars but it smelt too bad that my daughter didn’t use it. Then she prescribed retinoid and that stripped her skin and being a teenager whose very conscious of her looks that was no good and so she stopped using it. I gave her Paula’s Choice retinoid thinking it’ll be milder than the prescribed one and that too stripped her face only using it three times. So, she asked for turmeric soap and I bought this one and oh my gosh, I started to see changes in her acne scars in three days. About a month later and 85% of her acne scars are gone. It even helped me get rid of my burnt skin from the sun as I quickly get quite dark by being in the sun for 20 minutes. I recommended this to my sister for her and my nieces and bought more turmeric soap for bathing as this one is used for washing my face. It truly even out complexion and get rid of acne scars. I can’t stop raving about this because the results in a short period is absolutely amazing!

This is a very good soap. It lathers great and rinses off very clean, but...masculine scent ? My batch must have missed out on the fragrance , If anything mine has a faint wet cardboard smell. Probably won’t buy again.

My face & skin look beautiful after using this soap the first day! But I can't stand the "scent" & hav to put it in a tight lidded storage container to keep the unpleasant scent under wraps so it doesn't permeate the bathroom. So I can.t smell it except while I'm washing w/ it. & these whole cloves just stuck in the bar constantly fall out into your bathtub (or shower), which is annoying..risking going down my drain & potentially causing clogs in plumbing (I can't use a mesh filter on this drain). I don't like the strong scent of spice cloves, anyway. Unless cloves are somehow beneficial f/ skin, this seems like a cheap way of "fragrancing" this bar. If cloves were important f/ the skin (or strong spicy "fragrance"), I'd recommend grinding them to a powder & THEN ADD the powder. You have to chase after the whole cloves when you're done washing. I've used Ayurvedic Delights' ubtan skin lightening skin brightening hand-made bar soap before she abandoned her Etsy shop recently (like 6 months ago or a yr, ago) (w/out word when she'll be back.).& her ubtan soap smells beautiful. It's full of Indian sandalwood, & expensive wonderful fragrances from Ayurvedic recipes & nature which help the skin & also smell wonderful & lift the spirits while you're using the soap. & when you're not. So, until I can buy her soap again, I'll cont. to buy this one...but in my opinion, it has great need f/ improvement...espec. @ this price. & it gets spongy @ the end & does not last especially longer than any other soap. My skin looks beautiful but my nose isn't happy. I hate cloves & strong overpowering spicey scents. I like soft, fragrant, floral & feminine.

The soap has a very awakening and invigorating smell! I love the combination of the cloves and tumeric! It's definitely noticeable but by the end of my shower I feel it leaves a light scent. I use a separate product, tumeric scrub I got from India, and tumeric face oil i use at night. Its been a week and I am still waiting to see big change. However, I have noticed the blemishes on my african american cheeks are getting ever so lighter! Let's see how it goes in a month! The soap feels great on my skin! I feel soft and hydrated and clean! I'm loving it so far, definitely a part of my self care routine and I will be buying again!
