I have the one-output model of this water timer, and it’s working beautifully. It works by syncing with a small hub that plugs into an outlet (inside the house), and the timer synced up with it immediately. The features are controlled via an app, which I’ve had no issues with, but you can also manually activate the timer simply by pressing the big round button on the front of the device. I also like that this model requires only two AA batteries, as others I’ve seen have needed four. So far, so good, and I would totally recommend it.
