Bought as a gift for a family member lovely bundle of books

I wanted to buy some books as a first birthday gift and following discussions with my own children (now in their mid teens) it was agreed that these were a fab addition to their childhood! Brilliant books...not too long...great pictures....and most of all not just funny to kids they have great themes that will make adults reading them laugh too!

My 4 yr old daughter thinks that the stories and children are funny and as I parent I can completely relate with Mr & Mrs Large! The illustrations are great, the stories are fun, this collection is a firm family favourite.

As always the Large Family book's are enjoyed by my son and he always has a giggle when we read these book's together. This book set was great quality, really good value and arrived in great condition, the books we received are the same as the one's pictured. I would recommend these books and I would buy again.

This was a birthday present. It arrived in great condition and I'm sure my friend will love reading them to her daughter.

It worked out cheaper to buy the set than individually even though we already had one of the stories. Nice little stories with lovely illustrations. My 4 year old loves them. I've binned the story about cake though as it's attitude to weight and eating is a bit dated.

My idea of heaven is sitting with a child on my lap enjoying a book together. These stories offer food for grown up and child. The pictures are delightful. Talking about these, encouraging the child to name or spot items are a prelude to reading. They are funny and loving. A real joy!

My favourite series I read to my children and have now bought to read to my new granddaughter. Lovely present for the whole family to enjoy together.

These are the funniest books! I used to read them when I was little, then i bought them for my kids and again for my nephew. So excited to share them with a new generation!

Sent as a gift set for our granddaughter. Absolutely love these story books. Brightly coloured pages and covers. Sit nicely on bookshelf and suitable reading for all ages. Five minutes peace is one of my all time favourite story books, as fond memories reading this story many times to my own children over 25 years ago! Highly recommend.

I was very disappointed with my order. I purchased this book boxset as a gift for my son. Unfortunately I didn’t realise until I had already placed the order that another reviewer had already mentioned that this item doesn’t come in a box, as advertised. The five books are wrapped in a simple plastic layer, which obviously can’t be reused. The price is still very good for the five large family books, hence the two stars.

Auf deutsch fand ich die Bücher als Kind toll. Diese englische Version ist leider nicht so schön - 5 dünne, schwabbelige Hefte, die schon mit Eselsohren geliefert wurden. Man hat gar kein richtiges Buch in der Hand, für kleine Kinder dadurch ungeeignet. Die Zeichnungen sind zusätzlich nicht so liebevoll, wie in meiner gebundenen Version von früher. Schade.
