Amazon Fire TV Stick HD, free and live TV, Alexa Voice Remote, smart home controls, HD streaming

This arrived quickly and set up was a cinch. It literally took about 5 minutes. A true "plug and play". Even downloading the apps was straightforward. The results were quite staggering - rapid response to the remote control, easy to navigate, everything I expected. The bonus is that for a one-off payment of less that £40, it is far better than Sky. Picture quality and sound quality are excellent. I can't believe I waited so long to get one. Amazing value for money.

I already own a fire stick and have been super impressed with it so much so that I ordered another one for my downstairs TV. Setup is quick and straight forward and within minutes it was ready to use with all the streaming apps that I use. The picture quality from it is clear and smooth and having access to the free live TV it has is a great bonus and makes it a very versatile device. The Alexa Voice Remote is genuinely useful and works well for searching shows, opening apps or even controlling playback without having to scroll endlessly. I also like how responsive the menus are with minimal lag when switching between apps or browsing content. Despite its small size it feels powerful enough for everyday use and has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without issues. Overall it offers excellent value and reliability, which is why I felt confident buying a second one rather than looking at alternatives. It’s a simple way to upgrade an older TV or add smart features to another room and based on my experience it’s a product I would happily recommend.

There are glitches here and there but overall it works a treat and was cheap as chips to buy. Issue (for me anyway) is the channel 4 app. It NEVER loads. Have to force stop each time to get it to work. And that took a Google to figure out what to do along with all the stuff they suggest. Other than that happy with my purchase.

This was a god send when my apps on my tv would no longer work , I managed to install it and im not technically minded it was not easy but I managed to work it out ,and now my tv works so many channels and apps all working again its easy to use you can bypass your original remote , get all your favourite channels has alexa built in more than I really need im just happy my freeview now works again

Straight forward to follow steps for set up. Everything appears to be working as it should.

I've ended up purchasing two of these for different rooms and generally speaking they're brilliant. I originally bought them so that I could choose what I watch and get rid of the TV licence. I can watch in one room, turn that one off, go to the other room and continue watching the same program on the other tv with a different stick, at the same point I left it in the other room. So, they do update well between them. The only downside is that occasionally they crash and you have to reset them by turning them off at the electric - this is relatively rare and i suppose, to be expected, given that its technology. Having said that, they're not affected by the crash or the switch off and you can just carry on watching. Apparently - using the extender makes crashes more likely - and I have had to use the extender on both tvs. I now have a huge range of programs and channels, and if you have a tv licence then you have even more including the option of live tv and sport. Setting up the channels was a little bit of a pain but im impatient. You have the option of using the remote or using the qr code and setting it up from your phone and this process was seamless. All in all, these were a great buy and I would do it again if needed.

So far so good. I bought this to replace my Apple TV box and prolong the life of old Sony TV. Initially I considered getting an updated Apple TV box but new ones cost £149. So I thought I’d try the Amazon Fire TV. My old TV has an HDMI port so it was literally a case of plugging it in and following the instructions. Obviously I had to add some of the apps as well as log into the pre installed apps. It’s given the TV a second life. I’m trying out Alexa as we are a Siri house. Only app that didn’t work was Amazon Music - checked my settings and working fine now. I can see no advantage of paying the extra for an Apple TV box. Glad I saved myself over £100.

Literally the best thing i’ve bought, not having to pay for TV is amazing lol.

Bought for my bedroom TV and it is so much better than the original Firestick I was using. Nice crisp clear graphics and video. Audio seems ok, maybe the TV speakers are old. Well worth having.
