A well packaged, well presented history of the rugby club that I am a member of. This is a beautiful coffee table book with glossy pages and pictures covering the whole history of the club. The NIck Cross Harlequins book is an incredibly detailed textual history of the club, but lacks the presentation and pictures of this work by Brendan Gallagher. If you want to know who made a pass in the 22nd minute of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup Final then maybe get the Nick Cross book. If you want a beautiful book to leave on a coffee table and to peruse every now and again then this is the better option and more my style. It made a great present to my brother as well.

A huge disappointment
This book was a huge disappointment. it was a fantastic opportunity to get the history of the Club into one volume. Instead, it ended up being a half way house with over a hundred mistakes, some so obvious even a blind man could see them! As a result, I turned to the excellent volume penned by Nick Cross (Harlequins: The First 150 years) available from Amazon. This tells the complete story so if you really want to know all there is to know about Quins, I would recommend that one.
