Hits from 10 Albums

Music Fanatic's review was a little harsh on this C.D. but His knowledge of this band is very valuable! Reading the liner notes it sound's like Trooper band member Ra McGuire feels exactly the same way as Music Fanatic. I on the other hand heard something in this C.D. that made me give it a 5 star review & that is quality! This is a representation of 10 different album's & any band that puts out that much music should have a eclectic & varying style or else they just keep pumping out the same formulated crap & that gets old fast! Whether every song on here is to your taste or not is irrelevant every song on hear is done well & I find that extremely inspiring & plan to follow Music Fanatic's Trooper scooper plan to gather up more of this awesome band. Man I thought April Wine was underrated America totally missed the boat with this band!!! If you are a fan of 70's style music & like bands like Head East, Cheap Trick & Thin Lizzy Then this is the band for you! I enjoyed every track on this C.D. so I am sure that I will be happy picking up more Trooper. Ra McGuire of Trooper sum's it up nicely stating ..."You don't have to be a success in America to be successful." So this American lover of Rock & Roll is about to indulge himself in a back log of fantastic guitar rock!!! P.S. Liner notes from this C.D. indicate that Trooper is still going strong in their home country on tour & rocking & partying as I type this!

This is best collection of trooper hits with remastered sound which this band kinda needs so if you only want the hits this is the cd for you. Heres why...this cd has more songs than any other of their compilations and has all but 2 songs off hot shots (been a long time and ready) their best selling compilation. They only have one more compilation(Best of Trooper Green Series) its has everything off hot shots and some other older hits and album tracks added but no newer hits janine isnt on that one for instance their highest charting canadian hit. So as far as Trooper compilations go you won't find better than Hits from 10 Albums!

Love Trooper. Great songs, great musicians and they just keep on keeping on. Good old rocks and roll and Ra's voice still fabulous. It's music that makes you want to get up and dance.

The best Canadian band and a best of.....kind of goes hand in hand plus been wanting their song Janine on cd for a while and now I have it.....well worth the buy :)

Raise A Little Hell! Best Rock Anthem Ever

I listened to this band growing up and lost track of them. I like the whole album and especially some of the songs I have never heard before.

Super CD!

growing up in Vancouver and buying the albums that trooper brought out during that time,this cd was delightful as it does what it says all the hits from the previous albums...love it!!! brings back some great memories plus the music is pretty good too

I had some Trooper albums on vinyl a long time ago but neither seem to be available on CD, so I bought this. It's great to hear the songs I recognise and the rest have provided a flavour of other Trooper music. So far, so good.

I've owned Trooper's first greatest hits collection "Hot Shots" for decades (first purchased on vinyl), and have always enjoyed it. However, as soon as I put on "Hits from 10 Albums" I could hear a notable difference. This one sounds so much better. Digitally remastered, the music on this collection is fuller, richer. This is a great collection, containing all the hits you may remember (I certainly do, as I loved Canadian rock of the era) and even a few that were new to me. Five stars, highly recommended.

Tough to review a CD since you either like the music or you don't. For a greatest hits package I already know I'm going to like the music so the only real test in my eyes is completeness. This CD has all of my favorites through all of the years the band was playing including some decent songs they put out after their heyday. Check the track listing and you'll almost certainly find the songs you remember. Enjoy.

Trooper was a good rock band and even had a few good hits, such as Boys in a White Sports Car, and 3 dressed as a 9! If you enjoy old Canadian rock sounds, it is a worthwhile edition to your collection.
