SANSUI Curved Monitor 27 inch 120Hz USB Type-C Computer Monitor

Given I have only had this monitor for 2 weeks things can happen. With that in mind, this monitor so far has been a wonderful purchase. Starting with the positives: - starting with what I find the most important, the colors! Wow is what first came to my mind when I booted this thing up. The colors are vibrant, the monitor is bright, and visuals are quite clear. I have another 1440p monitor from a well known brand and the colors on the SANSUI blow it out of the water! - Secondly the 240-260 native reference rate is excellent! I play a couple games quite competitively and having that higher refresh rate is great! There is a common misconception that the human eye can’t see more than 60hz or 120hz, this is wrong. If your device has the ability run at 240-260fps in whatever game you are playing this monitor is awesome! There are also some game I play where I can’t get that high and the g-sync works great preventing any screen tearing. One thing to keep in mind is movies typically appear better on lower refresh rates, change the refresh rate to 60hz for a movie if you want. - The viewing angles on the monitor seem great. I view from a slight angle or head on and have had no issues. - The weight of the monitor is quite nice! It can as a surprise to me as the monitor is well priced but the stand has some good weight to it and doesn’t feel super cheap. The monitor itself is not too heavy and can tilt up and down with the mount given. - Now I am not someone who punches their monitor, so when it comes to its durability if you take care of it like you’re supposed to it seems like it’ll have no issues. Now on to somethings to keep in mind -This monitor is not an OLED nor does it claim to be, the HDR it provides is not true HDR and turning it on for regular use will worsen your image by dulling it out. -This monitor does not have speakers nor does it claim to have them. This is not a bad thing, but some people may not realize this. -The power button on the back is a little weird and right next to the settings adjustment, they are not similar in feel but I did accidentally turn it off while trying to adjust settings(human error). -the monitor will not come starting at 260hz, change it on the monitor and windows! To conclude the review, This monitor(especially if it’s on sale) is an amazing monitor spec wise with solid durability for the price. If you’re wanting this kind of monitor you know the risks you are taking going with a lesser known brand, but from my experience so far there is no more risk here than anywhere else! SANSUI has impressed me, pick one of these up and good luck!

I was worried about this monitor being from a more unknown brand, but after watching some youtube reviews and with this being one of the few 24" 1440p 240hz+ panels I could find (all the rest are 27" and I prefer smaller for a higher PPI than 1080p monitors), I took the risk and I'm glad I did. Panel quality is great, viewing angles are great (it's IPS and you can easily tell), and it actually overclocks to 320hz instead of the advertised 300hz, which was a nice surprise. VRR works great and supports G-Sync, there's a Hz display indicator setting as well as a backlight strobing mode (similar to BenQ's DyAc feature) but it doesn't support VRR at the same time (which is the same for other monitors) so it's nice to see, if you're a hardcore esports gamer who will turn off VRR anyways you'll be happy to get backlight strobing on a 1440p IPS this cheap at 320hz. Stand is pretty good and adjustable height and rotation wise as well as tilt. Monitor menu controls are via a directional joystick "nipple" on the back which is a lot better than different buttons, so I appreciate that. It's got no speakers (standard for most gaming monitors these days) and it does have aux out but no USB power which was disappointing but manageable. These days there are a lot of cheap excellent monitors from good brands and even cheaper monitors from unreliable brands, and I can honestly say SANSUI should be in the first category! No dead pixels and no problems with my unit. To SANSUI, I have no idea who on earth you got to manufacture this 24" 1440p 240hz panel, but I'm so glad you did because I love the size and no other brand is doing it, and it's a steal for under $200

Out of the box. Connected to Dell XPS 6 9640. RTX 4070 (8GB) and Intel Arc. Scale 100% Resolution 3440x1440 Amazingly immersive. I don't game but do 3D design, plus office stuff. Great picture.

At first I absolutely hated this monitor. The monitor felt blurry and colors were whack when I looked at different angles. Once I enabled AMD freesync and played with the brightness/sharpness it started to feel better. I moved the monitor back by 6 inches and it actually started to look good. Had to play with the sharpness and get things looking like what I want. I can't give this monitor 4-5 stars because of the initial bad feeling. I will update this once I get more hours under my belt. Yet after 10 hours I can slightly recommend this monitor. I bought this due to the black friday / cyber monday, mostly to see if a $200 monitor with 2k 240hz with 1ms response time was worth it. I think they are kinda bluffing on the monitor due to the fact that my current monitor was an Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz 27" WQHD (2560x1440) NVIDIA G-SYNC IPS Monitor, (Display Port & HDMI Port, 144Hz), Black. Yes, different because of G-SYNC and 165hz to 240hz, but I got this one because I upgraded to AMD. Maybe i just have to adjust to this monitor but coming from the exact specs besides actually using AMD freesync and 240hz. This monitor is alright. I have seen reviews saying it has a bunch of screen tears, from my pov i haven't seen any. I mostly play CS2, Apex, Dota 2, COD zombies, and a few other smaller games like Terraria and Stardew Valley. I still feel like the edges of the monitor seem slightly too dark to my liking but that's why I cranked the brightness to 100 to actually see the screen. If you want the RGB on the back to lighten up your wall then forget about it. It's like a dying flashlight you had in your drawer for the past 4 years. The lighting actually works, it's just not bright. I hang my hand over the back of the monitor to have its lights shine at me. Picture your mouse if you have RGB in it, or just a dim colored light shining at the wall. YOU WON'T SEE IT. Overall the monitor is performing as advertised but I had to play around with the settings and I still don't know if i like it or not. It performed well in the 240hz test I ran on it. My biggest concern currently is the dark edges, almost like polarized edges. Again this is my take on this monitor coming from someone that typically bought mainstream, if you are coming from a 60-120hz or 720p-1080p monitor this will be an insane upgrade. Can't recommend it but cant say its trash either. I'm giving it about 7-14 days to wow me before I return it. I will for sure update this if i do. Update 12 days later. I'm actually enjoying this monitor. I got used to it and found that it is actually really good. Big thing i had to do was adjust monitor setting and GPU settings to my liking. AT MOST! ill give it 4 stars. Its a great monitor but I did not like it at first. It still had minor screen tearing but not the game, it was my crosshairs weird enough. I only noticed the screen tare in cs while i was in a smoke. So overall I am happy with the monitor but I still have the feeling that spending another 100-200 bucks is better. Like i said in my previous post above. I really bought it to check if it was any good for the performance advertised. So far so good

I researched for a while and read the customer reviews and finally bought this amazing monitor. I am so glad that I did! Nice, steady, curved wide screen. I get so much real-estate on this screen that I ditched my second monitor. I use a lot of detailed Excel spreadsheets, watch a lot on online movies, have several games I play. I really enjoy having so much info on the screen and being able to see it all in great detail. The motion is crisp with no lag on fast moving graphics and fantastic when switching videos. I share this monitor with a second computer, having so many possible connections is great. I was a little mystified on how to control the monitor input between several different computers with the provided single button control, but I could easily control 4 different computer sources in just a couple of clicks I am thinking about buying another monitor for my two Linux computers. This has really enhanced my computer time for sure. I also bought a simple single button control switch for sharing one keyboard and mouse. So I can change my desktop connection in just a few clicks on the monitor control button, then just one click to switch my keyboard and mouse to the second computer. Saves so much time and again really enhances my computer time. I highly recommend this monitor.

I've had this a few days now and I absolutely love it. I have so much control over the image too, lots of picture modes, gamma adjust, individual color adjust, and os on. Easy to control the on screen menu. It's my first curved monitor too, and I wasn't sure I was going to like it but I really do. You don't notice it's curved when your looking directly at it. I bought this along with a mini pc and it's hooked up through a USB-C cable. I have my older computer in the HDMI input. The price I paid for the size I wanted and this level of image quality is actually remarkable. I haven't had luck with every monitor I ever bought and I'm going back to the huge CRTs (I'm 55). I didn't expect much because of the price and it totally exceeded my expectations. One more thing quick, I asked ChatGPT about Sansui vs the other brand options like Scepter, Acer, and so on. She liked the Sansui the best, stating it seems to have more positive reviews overall compared to the other brands and she wasn't just talking about Amazon's rating system. One minor thing. The connections are all on the bottom of the monitor, making it basically impossible NOT to see the USB-C and HDMI cables. The power cord was easy to route. I have a couple angled extensions and some cable routing sticker things in my cart, I'm sure I can work around it.

So, I read some reviews that talk about needing to dial in the colors, contrast, etc with this monitor. I thought, for the price I don't mind a little "dial in" work to get it looking right. But no amount of tweaking the settings can correct a horrible monitor with the worst coloring I've ever seen in a screen. The colors, with any amount of tweaking, look horrible. Dark scenes are comically bad. Black isn't a color/shade this monitor is even slightly capable of. Dark scenes are unbearable. The contrast never feel right. Adjusting contrast in a game just makes things worse. HDR is very bright, but also very washed out. And no amount of adjusting in-game settings, windows settings, or anything else ever gets rid of that washed out look. It is not worth what they're asking for it. Even a as a budget monitor, it is not worth it. It's truly that bad. Any review you've read here that says they like it, is because they've upgraded from a small 1080p monitor, and don't know any different. This monitor is truly the worst I've ever seen by a massive margin. I can't say enough bad things about it. If I was forced to give you a positive... I can't think of any. I mean, no dead pixels, it's fairly bright with HDR on. (with HDR off it's very poorly lit). Um, the size is nice. The angle of curve works well for my desk... But, I mean, those are things any monitor should be able to do at this size/res. That's a tremendously low bar. This is a budget monitor... And you will be reminded of that each and every time you turn it on. Every time you look at it. Every time you play a game... It's just awful. I'm genuinely depressed that I bought this thing. I feel like I got ripped off. Like, I ordered a gaming monitor and they sent me this as a practical joke. Please, please, for the love of all thats holy... Just click the back button and keep scrolling. ANYTHING else would be better. Update: So I've already ordered another monitor. Decided after this experience that it was worth it to spend more on an OLED from a name brand rather than suffer this massive disappointment again. I know that's not an option in everyone's budget, so until that monitor arrives in a couple days I'm still using this monitor and decided to do more troubleshooting to see if there was a way to get it to look correct. I've spent the past several hours going though youtube videos and reddit posts tying to find solutions to the many issues this monitor has. By making overriding adjustments in the nVidia Control Panel to Brightness, contrast, gamma, digitial vibrance, and even Hue (I've never needed to adjust hue for any monitor, ever... But this monitor requires a Hue adjustment)... With those changes I was able to get it to be 'less' awful. However, you can never shake the feeling like what you're seeing on the screen is not correct. And all those adjustments in nVidia control panel are universal overrides. Meaning that even though a video game looks a bit better, just regular desktop viewing is terrible, so all the adjustments need to be undone when not playing a game. And, in game, even with adjustments, it's not the colors, or contrast, or anything that the developer of the game intended. Everything feels like it's the wrong color, with color banding, weird color filtering, poor dark area banding and colorizing... So, to summarize. I have truly, in my 20+ of pc gaming with numerous pc builds and numerous monitors, have I ever experienced a monitor this bad before. It is genuinely that awful. I cannot express just how bad it is in comparison to anything I've used before. It's shocking. And, I thought, it has 4.5 stars, several people posted reviews saying they liked it, it must be something I've setup incorrectly on my end... But no. It is garbage. Not worth even half of what they're selling it for. If this monitor was given to me, I still wouldn't use it. The colors aren't correct, and it looks severely washed out with HDR enabled. My past 3 monitors have had HDR, and this one is by far the worst out of all of them. I've run windows color calibration (which overrides the monitors wide gambit color profile with a conventional one) and that didn't help. Made it worse. I've run HDR calibration. I've adjusted every setting in windows, nvidia control panel, and the monitors built-in settings. Unfortunately you simply can't fix a poor screen design with settings. There is no fix.

Great gaming monitor. Can do 1440p at 320hz which is overkill for a lot of people but pretty impressive for the price. Comes with typical monitor features, gets bright enough for me but HDR is not the greatest.

Eh usado un mes este monitor y tuve bastantes problemas al principio, ya que al momento de que me llegó todo funcionaba bien , solo que el “audio” del monitor no sonaba creí que si tenía bocinas y creo que las tiene pero a fin de cuentas no pude usarlas , a los días que me llegó mi pantalla empezó a parpadear y pensé en devolverlo pero le di otra oportunidad , pensaba que era que tenía varios clientes de un juego a 140fps y resultó ser mi cable hdmi, desde entonces que lo cambie el monitor me ah funcionado perfectamente eso si aún sin audio, solo sean consientes que con el cable hdmi solo levanta 100hz ya con la otra entrada si soporta lo que dice el producto , sinceramente lo recomiendo en precio/calidad , el soporte no es ajustable pero creo que es algo fácil de solucionar así que por el resto todo está perfecto , no tiene fuga de luces , el borde es algo ancho pero casi no se nota al momento de usarlo de lo grande que es , en uso diario fuera de videojuegos para programar y tener editores de código y múltiples pestañas abiertas en la misma pantalla es súper eficiente , se los recomiendo si buscan algo bbb

I bought this as a budget monitor and honestly I've been really happy with it. The picture looks great, the curved screen is a nice touch, and it's been perfect for both everyday use and gaming. My only complaint is that I wish it had been a little more obvious that the monitor doesn't have built-in speakers. It does have audio output, but you'll need external speakers or headphones if you want sound. That said, once I got that sorted out, it's been fantastic for the price. If you're looking for a budget-friendly monitor, I'd definitely recommend it.
