I already had the AD200 flashes and LOVE them. They're my workhorses. I thought the newer versions would be much better but they're not. I mean, they're great and worth the money but other than the easier to read screen, the modeling lights don't work that well. They're not very bright and they get blocked by reflectors and some modifiers. And by the time the light makes its way through the baffles, it's almost non-existent. The only OTHER good point about these flashes over their predecessors is the power on button. It's a two-stage procedure and that negates the possibility of unintended power on being initiated.... which has been happening to me quite often. With the slide switch, the flashes can be powered on by movement in the case or, in my case, the camera bag. And that's ANOTHER strong point about the AD200 unit... it's small and very easy to pack. I've had unforeseen needs for them pop up and I always have them at the ready.

I'm familiar with Godox flashes, but this is my first time using a 200W flash of this type, and it works wonderfully. Not only is it powerful, delivering excellent light output, but it's also very versatile, with the option to switch between six different lighting heads for various lighting systems, depending on your needs. However, this particular package only includes two head adapters: the H200J II and the H200 II, which, in my opinion, work great. I'll mostly be using the H200J II, which produces the full 200Ws that this flash is capable of. The new color display is very user-friendly, and I was able to navigate the settings easily. I also appreciate the bi-color versatile modeling lamp, which produces a bright light with adjustable color temperature from 2800K to 6000K.

GODOX makes a wide assortment of accessories for photographers/videographers/content creators, etc. For me at least, my first introduction to the brand was the rep they have for being the 'gold standard' in affordably priced but highly functional camera flashes. I've used a number of their products (including flashes) and picked up this AD200 Pro II not long ago.GODOX doesn't really 'reinvent the wheel' when it comes to flashes as much as they refine it. There's a reason that the speedlight form factor has stood the test of time. It just makes sense. What you can expect from GODOX is a product that works and works well. Battery life is excellent and the device integrates with the Godox PB960 power pack. Of course it supports 2.4G wireless transmission/reception so you can integrate it with your other GODOX lighting products, triggers, etc.The flash heads and cooling system have been substantially upgraded from the previous iteration though legacy 200 series flash heads are still compatible. There's a reason that Godox has earned the rep for making some of the best 'bang for the buck' lights in the business. Highly recommended!

This is a good flash, BUT…..Godox does mis fire or mis flash from time to time.
