K&F CONCEPT 75" Aluminum Camera Tripod, Lightweight and Compact for Travel

TL;DR: This tripod seriously exceeded my expectations for the price. It's shockingly good for just $30; it feels like a much more expensive tripod, has a surprisingly solid build and decently smooth video head. I bought it as a quick and affordable travel tripod, expecting something flimsy and plastic-heavy, but it feels much more solid and well-made than most budget tripods I've used. The mostly aluminum construction, stable legs, smooth-enough video head, and thoughtful design choices make it an excellent value at the price mark... perhaps even the best option in terms of bang for your buck. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a professional fluid-head video tripod, it's still an entry-tier tripod, but for lightweight video work and general camera use, it performs way better than it has any right to at this price. PROS: 🥳 Excellent build quality for the price; feels far more premium than expected 🥳 Mostly aluminum construction where it counts, with solid stability and comfortable foam grips on the legs, and surprisingly solid materials throughout, even on the plastic parts 🥳 Smooth enough head movement for basic video pans and lock-off shots 🥳 Fast and simple center column adjustment without the annoying crank handle system 🥳 Extends up to 6'3" with decent stability 🥳 Includes a weight hook so you can add a weight to maximize its stability 🥳 Lightweight and compact for travel, and includes a surprisingly sturdy carrying bag 🥳 Includes genuinely useful extras like a phone/tablet mount and phone remote shutter CONS: 😩 Obviously, head is not a true fluid video head, so smooth pans still depend heavily on your technique 😩 Leg clasps feel decent but not especially premium 😩 No bubble level on the head itself, only on the tripod base DETAILED REVIEW: BUILD QUALITY: I've owned a lot of tripods over the years, from dirt-cheap ones to genuinely expensive models, and this one honestly surprised me. I've tested other K&F Concept accessories (stuff like lens cleaning sets, air blowers, hotshoe levels, etc.), and was really impressed with the quality vs the price. But nothing as complex as a tripod; so at around $29 during the Big Spring Sale (normally about $33), I expected something maybe better than other brands at that price, but still somewhat flimsy, plastic-heavy, and disposable. Instead, it feels far more solid and refined than many cheap tripods I've owned that cost at least twice as much. Even the plastic components feel surprisingly good quality. Nothing feels brittle, hollow, or overly cheap, which is rare at this price point. I genuinely assumed the product photos were 3D renders because the tripod looked too nice for the price. But in person, it actually looks just like the photos. The construction is mostly aluminum with some plastic components, which is completely normal at this price point. Honestly, even many higher-end tripods use plastic in certain areas now. The important thing is that nothing about this tripod feels cheap or badly made. It doesn't scream "budget tripod" at all. In fact, aesthetically, it looks quite good, even including a very tastefully embossed logo on the upper part of the legs, as you can see in the photos, which, imo, makes it look even more pro than having big printed branding or labels like others have, even top-tier ones. The legs feel solid, and I really like the thick foam padding near the top sections. It's much more comfortable to carry and handle, especially outdoors or in colder weather. Funny enough, some of my much more expensive tripods only had foam padding on one leg, while this one has it on all 3. As I mentioned, it's made of metal where it counts. For instance, the handle used for panning and locking the vertical movement also feels solid. The shaft and screw mechanism are made of metal, which lets it lock down tightly without feeling like it's going to fail or strip over time. STABILITY AND PERFORMANCE: For a budget travel tripod, the stability is surprisingly good. It holds a camera much more securely than I expected, and once everything is locked in place, it feels dependable. Setup and teardown are quick, transport is easy, and nothing about the design makes me feel like it'll fall apart after a few trips. One feature I really appreciate is the rotating rubber feet. They adapt well to uneven surfaces like rocks or rough ground, which helps the tripod stay planted much better outdoors. The tripod also uses a 4-section leg design, which is honestly impressive at this price. Most ultra-budget tripods I've seen locally were tiny, unstable, all-plastic disasters. This feels like a real tripod, not a toy. This also allows it to go up to a 6'3", which is almost as tall as I am, and this is genuinely the first tripod I've owned, cheap or otherwise, that remotely gets close to putting the camera at eye-level for me (well, my most expensive, monopod with 3 supports at the bottom reaches as well, but that one cost me over $400). Of course, in terms of stability, you might not want to use it as tall as it goes in most circumstances. But what makes it less stable is raising the central column; if you use it with just the 3 legs fully extended, and moreover add a weight to the hook underneath (because, unlike other cheap tripods, it does include a weight hook), then you’ll have a perfectly stable setup, tbh. VIDEO HEAD: I specifically chose this version because I plan to use it more for video than photography. Obviously, at this price, you're not getting anything like a fluid oil video head, and that was never a dealbreaker for me. I rarely do cinematic pans anyway. What I really wanted was a head with smooth enough horizontal and vertical movement to easily frame a shot, then lock everything down securely without the camera shifting position during locking. Some cheaper ball-head systems tend to slightly move your composition when you tighten them, but this one avoids that problem quite well. Overall, this head works better than I expected: it's definitely just plastic-on-plastic, but somehow it manages to be smoother than other similar mechanisms I've tested. In fact, it even works surprisingly well for panning, too; at least it doesn't have that horrible stiff and jerky movement common on cheap tripods. The movement is actually pretty smooth both vertically and horizontally. With a heavier camera or lens, you could probably get some decent-looking pans if your hand control is good enough. Of course, since the head is not counterbalanced, and it won’t return to horizon, smooth vertical movement depends entirely on your wrist control, especially when returning to your starting position. As I mentioned, for the use I'll give this tripod, that is mainly setting up a composition, locking it off, and recording, this head is more than enough. Honestly, I've used worse heads on more expensive tripods. EASE OF USE: One of the biggest reasons I picked this tripod was the center column system. Thankfully, it does not use that awful crank handle mechanism where you spend forever turning a tiny handle while the column slowly rises millimeter by millimeter 😅 This one uses the much better system that let's you unlock the knob, raise or lower the column quickly, then lock it back in place. Simple and fast. The leg clasps are also perfectly fine. They may not feel ultra-premium, but I've used plenty of similar clasp systems over the years without any issues; certainly none that would put my equipment in danger, or even change the hight once locked off, nor have I ever had any break on me in normal use. PORTABILITY: One of the biggest advantages of this tripod is how travel-friendly it is, which is why I bought it. It weighs only around 3 lbs, which makes it light enough to comfortably carry around all day without feeling like you're hauling heavy gear. At the same time, as I mentioned, it still feels solid and stable rather than flimsy. Folded down, it becomes surprisingly compact at roughly 3" x 20", so it fits easily into luggage, maybe even a carryon, or can be strapped to a backpack without being awkward to carry around. Despite the compact folded size, it still extends up to about 6'3" tall, which is fantastic for a tripod in this price range. It also comes with a carrying bag that honestly surprised me. I expected a thin, disposable sleeve, but the material is actually quite robust and feels much better made than I expected for a budget tripod. It makes transporting and storing the tripod much easier, especially for travel. Another nice detail is that the tripod can be fully disassembled, as shown in one of my photos, which makes maintenance and transport even easier. LEVELING: There is a built-in bubble level near the top of the tripod base, which is useful for leveling the tripod itself before mounting your camera. That helps a lot when setting up on uneven ground. Unfortunately, there isn't a second level on the head itself, but that's understandable at this price. Modern digital cameras usually have built-in electronic levels anyway, which are definitely more accurate. As long as the tripod base is level, you can fine-tune the camera angle using the camera's internal level system. EXTRAS: For the price, I was also surprised by the included accessories. It comes with a surprisingly decent phone and tablet holder that will genuinely be useful, plus a remote shutter control for phones. FINAL THOUGHTS: For around $30, this tripod is honestly hard to complain about. It feels much more expensive than it is, performs reliably, and avoids many of the annoying compromises that usually come with ultra-budget tripods. It's especially good for travelers, casual photographers, or people doing simple video work who want something affordable but still dependable. If you're expecting a professional fluid-head video tripod, this is not that. But if you want a lightweight, solid, easy-to-use tripod that massively overdelivers for the price, this is a great buy. Honestly, I'll be recommending this tripod to any photographer/videographer friends who're in the market for a decent, portable, cheap add to their travel camera bags.

I have been using this tripod for about a month. Not being someone who uses a tripod a lot I decided to Give this tripod a go. I am not one to mince words and will give an honest review of this product. First thing is that K&F always seems to put out quality products for the price and this tripod is no exception. In the box: Tripod Phone Holder Camera adapter Blue tooth camera controller Pros: -Well built for the price. I have thrown this tripod in back of the car and it seems to be able to take the abuse. -Several nice accessories that help with attaching any type camera or phone you may own. -Sturdy! I have placed my heavy DSLR on this tripod and it holds it with no problem. Minimal shake if any at all. -Easy extendable legs! I have had the type that use the twist type and they always seem to fail at some point. This tripod has the locking type which allow for a variety of heights and also the piece of mind it will not slip on you. -Crazy tall. At 75 inches completely extended it definitely helps with any shot you are looking to get. -Even though this tripod is extremely tall it is made to be small and compact when stored. It is also very light for the size -Foam grips near tripod head on legs make this easy to carry and move around when extended. -Phone holder does a good job although may be a little big but it will definitely hold any size phone you have or small tablet. -The bluetooth remote paired with my phone very easily. I have an old S21+ and it worked flawlessly with the that phone. I have yet to try it with my DSLR. Cons: -At full extension it can have a little vibration but putting a camera bag on the center hook seems to alleviate the issue for the most part. Definitely not a deal breaker for me as the fact that it is this tall for the price definitely out weighs any negative effect. I never felt like it would topple over even in heavy wind conditions or unlevel surfaces. -Phone holder is huge but I understand that as it is made to hold a variety of devices. That is about it. For the price and what you get, this tripod is kind of a no brainer. The fact that K&F makes it is one plus you can not discount. I know for a fact they stand behind their products. So if you are looking for a great tripod that doesn't break the bank and gives you quality usability of a much more expensive tripod then this is the one for you.

I’m not as mobile as I once was. Because of this, I use tripods, a lot! I needed a nice, solid, flexible full-sized tripod and this tripod looked like a good choice. In the carton you’ll find the tripod and accessories in a nice nylon carrying bag with a shoulder strap. The tripod fully collapsed to about 16” high with no accessories attached. It weighs under three pounds and because of the ingenious trapezoidal legs it is less than three inches in diameter. It has a standard camera mounting screw and a bubble level at the top. The extension tube is enclosed and easy to adjust and lock. There is a hook at the bottom of the tube enclosure to hang a weight for added stability. The five segment legs are easy to adjust. The cam locking system is easy to use with one hand and locks the legs securely in place. Included, you will find: two mounts that will attach to any standard camera. The control head uses a quick-release cam system that provides a solid stable attachment. These mounts are very low profile, and you could leave them mounted to your camera during handheld use. In the photo you can see the phone holder. This unit attaches to the mount and will hold your phone in either portrait or landscape orientation. There are rubberized screw-in feet to provide a stable base and allow for small adjustments to the tripod. The control head is solid and well-built. It operates smoothly and works well for video. There is a user manual, and a Bluetooth remote for your phone. It worked nicely with my iPhone 13. I have used the tripod with some of my standard activities. I build mechanical models and like to record my progress. The unit is very stable at its full 75-inch extension and adding some weight on the hook just makes it more solid. It is rated for 8.8 lbs. I’ve had more weight than that on it for testing with no issues. I really like this tripod. It is solidly built, and comes with useful accessories. For a general use tripod, the price is great. I do wish it came with a couple of more quick release mounts. I expect to get years of use out of this unit. Highly recommended.

This is a lightweight, compact tripod for a fraction the price of alternative brands. The build quality isn't anything to brag about but seems rugged enough for my purposes, at least. The setup and breakdown is simple and intuitive. My only significant criticism is the quick release plate and mechanism. I didn't realize it until I bought a secondary tripod from K&F that this one does not use the Arca Swiss design that is so common in other designs. I ended up spending another $30 on a new ball head to avoid having to switch base plates when switching between tripods..

I’m really happy with this tripod. The 75-inch height is great when I need to record from a higher angle, and it feels sturdy once everything is set up. It’s easy to adjust and doesn’t take long to assemble. I also like that it can be folded down when I’m not using it, making it easier to store. Overall, it’s a great tripod for photos and videos and has been very useful for my content.

Perfect!!! I always thought the selfie stick tripod was the king and these real ones were over kill. Let me tell you. The quick release plate was and god like feature. I have a phone cage and just popping it on and off was something you didn't know you needed until you did it. The panning is so pro level i was felt I was a pro. It's freaking light too. I got the tan one it's so cool looking. It also goes to eye level I'm 6 feet. Then it goes a bout 2 feet higher with the extension. I did use the flip out for the 9:16 photos because I honesty forgot

Köpte detta eftersom jag är rätt lång, men de flesta stativ är rätt korta, så jag får böja på ryggen. Denna kan man höja en rejäl bit uppåt! Jag är 187cm med en riktig gubbarugg som ger obehag, så att hitta ett budget stativ som han höjas högre än jag, så blev jag lycklig! Stativet är absolut välbyggt men lite rangligt. Det finns en krok att tynga ner det så det kompenserar såklart instabiliteten. Är det budget så är såklart något sparat på, och i detta fallet är det plast klämmorna till benen som i och för sig känns rustika, men hur länge kommer de hålla vid daglig användning in och ut ur bilen? Die Standbeine, als auch die Mittelsäule sind vermutlich aus Metall gefertigt. Die Schaumstoffgriffe am oberen Ende der Standbeine ist weich und wirkt stabil befestigt. Stabilität & Standfestigkeit: Das Stativ wirkt aufgrund der dünnen Standbeine wackelig und unsicher, steht jedoch rutschfest dank der Gummifüße auf dem Boden. Die wackeligen Beine mache bei windstillen Bedingungen keine Probleme, jedoch sobald Wind oder jegliche andere Erschütterung, wie durch manuelles Fokussieren, oder Zoomen, das Stativ und die Kamera treffen, wackelt es ca. 4 bis 5 Sekunden, bis es sich wieder eingefangen hat. K&F hat dazu im Handbuch den Hinweis verfasst, dass man zur Erhöhung der Stabilität am unteren Ende des Stativs am Haken ein Gewicht montieren soll, jedoch ist weder eins mitgeliefert, noch klassifiziert in welcher Reichweite sich das Gewicht zu bewegen hat, um besagten stabilisierenden Effekt zu erreichen. Auch der mitgelieferte Fernauslöser hat dabei nicht wirklich geholfen, da meine Kamera sich nicht damit verbinden konnte. Positiv ist zu erwähnen, dass das Stativ recht hohe Lasten mühelos zu tragen scheint. Meine Kamera (Nikon D750 mit einem Samyang 135mm f/2) wiegt etwa 1,8kg, was sich selbst in Schräglage nicht bewegt hat. Die Mittelsäule hingegen wirkt sehr wackelig, trotz sehr fest gezogener Schraubknöpfen. Bedienkomfort & Handhabung Der Stativkopf lässt sich nur bei Rotation mit dem Urzeigersinn nutzen, da bei Drehung entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn sich aufgrund des Gewindes dieser vom Stativ löst. Die Rotation mit dem Uhrzeigersinn ist ruckelig und nicht sinnvoll für kontinuierliche horizontale Bewegungen geeignet. Panningshots oder kontinuierlich geschossene Panoramen sind somit nicht realistisch umsetzbar. Die Stellschrauben zur Befestigung und Fixierung der einzelnen Winkel lassen sich zwar festschrauben, jedoch sind diese etwas zu klein und teils schwer zu erreichen, wenn eine größere Kamera darauf befestigt ist. Die Beine lassen sich problemlos ein- und ausfahren und verrutschen auch nicht über längere Zeit. Die Schnellwechselplatten sind aufgrund der Klappösen zwar gut an der Kamera zu befestigen, jedoch sind diese aus der Aussparung an der Unterseite der Schnellwechselplatte nur schwer zu entfernen. Die Montierung der Schnellwechselplatten funktioniert leicht, jedoch rastet der Bügel zur Befestigung dieser nicht von selbst komplett ein und wirkt aufgrund des Plastiks nicht sehr vertrauenswürdig, hält jedoch die Kamera zuverlässig. Transport & Aufbau: Das Stativ an sich ist leicht und dank der mitgelieferten Tragetasche einfach zu transportieren. Die Aufbauzeit bis zum ersten Bild ist unter einer Minute recht schnell.
