Victron Energy SmartShunt Bluetooth Battery Monitor 300A

Victron solar equipment is high quality and this shunt is no exception. Very easy to install and the included cables are a plus. Integrates flawlessly into the Victron app and gives all the information about the usage and states of your batteries that you need. The only drawback, as others have stated, is the short range of the Bluetooth signal. But that seems to be the case with a lot of these type devices. I’m pleased with the device and the price was reasonable.

Many people are aware of Victron products and love them. Well, I didn't know anything about them, this is one of four items I've recently purchased and am very happy. The shunt isn't a common device; I wasn't in my plans to purchase. Most, as I did, might wonder why? Well unlike even the electronics within some batteries, this device knows all the currents that have left your battery, and reports on them very accurately. If you purchase other Victron products, they chat it up and work as a team of sorts. The quality is apparent upon examination; it is worth your consideration.

As usual, Victron continues to provide exceptional quality, fit, finish and utility. Installation is a simple, straightforward process that requires only one additional short cable of the proper gauge for your setup. The included positive wire and secondary positive (for monitoring a second battery bank or midway point) have built-in fuses. One note - the bolts on this require 5/16" or 3/8" wire lugs on the wires from the negative battery terminal and to connect the load or bus block. The shunt itself is very sturdy, and designed for easy mounting in a small space near your battery. It also networks wirelessly with other Victron Smart controllers and other products over Bluetooth to allow them to share information, via the VictronConnect app. A few minutes of reading is all that's necessary to input the battery information and other parameters via the app, and before you know it you're up and running with detailed information that assists greatly with fine tuning your system. You may, like me, find yourself wondering how you ever got by without this addition to your solar power system. I put it off, questioning whether I really needed this. From now on, I'll have one of these on every system I install!

Does what it says it does. Very easy to connect to the battery. Sometimes the shunt will not show up in the app if your phone/tablet is connected to another device via Bluetooth. You have to manually program the shunt. Programing in this case is setting values in the Victron app for your specific battery, be it lead acid or LiFePO4. There are lots of You Tube videos showing how to program it. The Victron website also provides values for use in the app. Came with two power cables, one of which stopped working after three uses. Overall, a very handy device to have.

Working great not much range on bluetoot maybe 10feet

This is used for a single lithium battery. The battery's BMS appeared to be accurate, but with more testing, it was too erratic on SOC. Reading the manual, the BMS can't detect low discharging and charging. I purchased and installed the Victron shunt so I could get accurate data. The installation was straightforward. If it won't be exposed to high moisture, I prefer this one. The IP65 version has all possibilities of sensor cables potted in. On this one, you only connect what you need and terminate wires to a neat length. I appreciate how much more accurate this is than the BMS. Areas for improvement are the speed the Bluetooth syncs. Opening any other Victron device and the Bluetooth needs to re-sync every time. Distance is also marginal, it should work in a bigger radius like other Bluetooth devices. For the price and simplicity, I am glad to have it for the times when battery data is critical.

Got for my campervan, it's a great little gadget and easily connected to Bluetooth. I can check the charge state of my battery bank. Easily set up as long as you have a bit of knowledge regarding electrical setup.

Le module enregistre 45 jours de données aux on ne peut accéder qu'en bluetooth depuis l'application. L'exportation est totalement verrouillée par Victron, il faut ajouter un Cerbo gx qui coûte 300€ et ne permet d'avoir les informations qu'à partir de son installation. Je n'en reviens pas

Pues está bien caro pero es funcional, te permite saber el estado de la batería así como la tendencia histórica de 6 meses hacia atras El único tema es que el tornillo está muy gordo y no entra el adaptador de mi bateria, ojo… esto no corta carga ni actúa como gestión de la batería, solo es para observación

Stabil, gut einzubauen, funktioniert wie beschrieben und am besten ist die gut dokumentierte ble API über die sich tatsächlich leicht (Claude Code sei Dank) ein eigenes Display programmieren und anbinden lässt.

I received it quickly and undamaged. It works well. It is overly expensive like all Victron products but the quality is good.
