Very impressed with this item. I used them for the first time on a recent trip mountain climbing in Scotland. I normally suffer from knee pain on the downhill stretch, but with these supports on I was pain free!

Knee Support Braces.The braces are made from a black elasticated fabric that has a textured but soft finish on the outside and a more grippy but still comfortable finish on the inside. The items have a decent thickness and weight to them and they appear to be well made with no loose threads or fraying.The exterior of the sleeves are decorated with a simple design incorporating a shield and contrasting black and grey stripes. Each brace has a gel pad located at the knee; these gel pads yield to pressure but are quite firm and flexible. At the thigh end you’ll find some ‘rubberised’ banding that prevents them from slipping and strips of support padding runs down the length of both sides.Fit wise I’ve found the braces to be snug but not uncomfortably so. The inner rubberised anti-slip thigh strips were a bit annoying at first but I’ve quickly become used to them and the gel knee pads (donut shaped with a hole in the middle) fit nicely around the kneecaps; these flex well and do not hinder any movement. There’s a bit of tightness around the calf area and a bit of rubbing here and there but the sleeves are still being broken in so I’m not too concerned at this point.Tbh I have nothing bad to say about this product. The braces are supportive and mostly comfortable with built in gel knee supports and anti-slip banding that helps them stay up (you still have to occasionally hitch them up but they mostly stay in place). The sleeves are well made and have a decent level of finish.Me likey.

My knee has been so painful that I can hardly move with it. I’ve put this knee support on and my knee was so comfortable. I have yet to practise getting up off the floor which was a near impossibility. You can feel the difference just by wearing it. If it feels like this the rest of the time I’m wearing it then I’m happy and the wuality is excellent!

Made pain worse

I ordered these having experienced pain in the side of my knee for the past few months.I am awaiting a scan for a possible meniscus injury and have ben advised that a RICE regime (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation ) may help in the meantime.This support tube achieves the Compression element of that regime. The sizing guide seems accurate and I ordered the Large size based on that measurement. There are 2 tubes. I thought initially that they were marked L and R for left and right legs, but then realises that the label indicates L for Large in each tube - the 2 are identical.As soon as I put the tube on I could feel support for my knee. The knee does not bend as easily due to the silicone struts down each side and now feels less likely to give way when walking. There is enough compression to feel supported without feeling restricted.The material is fairly thick and has a slight tendency to 'ruck up' at the back of the knee, but that probably cannot be avoided with a bending joint. As it is currently autumn, I cannot tell how the tubes will feel in the summer when temperatures are warmer or if exercising enough to cause a sweat. I have deducted a star for the fact that they are hand-wash only - this is mitigated slightly by the fact that there are 2 in a packet so you can wear the second while the first one is washed/dried.At the current price of £10.99 for a pair, these would seem to be good value.
