If she fails, humanity fails along with her.
I'm of 2 compeeting mindsets when it comes to Viking Tomorrow. One one hand, the book is really quite good. If you've read and Jeremy Robinson before, you know what I'm getting at here: requisite non-stop action, breathless pacing, a plot that seems too crazy and out there to work but comes together in the end to make perfect sense and leave the reader wanting more. How he came up with placing Vikings in the apocalypse is beyond me, but, for the most part, it works. On the other hand, Viking Tomorrow wasn't Robinson's best work. Like, I said, it's still a far better read than 90% of the mainstream authors who try to delve into this mashup of genres, and it's still a lot of fun, but somewhere within these pages, the book just started to lose its uniqueness. I love post apocalyptic nightmares as much as everyone else (hell, probably even more than some), but after awhile, when every single cliche and pitfall of the genre makes itself known in a book, then there's nothing special or different about it. Viking Tomorrow unfortunetly falls into that category the longer it goes on. Brutal wasteland dictator? Check. Crazed cult-like murderers? Check. Roving band of killer motorcycle gangs? That's there too. Honestly, every single attribute we've seen in films like Mad Max are here. And I wouldn't have had a problem with any of those had they had a special backstory or reason for being written in (other than for more bodies to pile up at the feet of Val and her viking crew). Robinson is known for writing some decent, original characters in his 50+ novels, but sadly, that's not on display here.Than again, sometimes a gorefest of post apocalyptic vikings is exactly the kind of novel you need once in a while

Vikings
If you love Vikings and the rage that comes with them when they fight you will love this book! The main character Val is an enigma. She has eyes the colour of no one else in the world, until she is sent on a mission with eight other warriors, to collect ‘genetic material’ from Venice. Upon arriving she finds out she isn’t the only one with these strange eyes, and the material isn’t a what but a who...Jeremy is an outstanding author and with Kane’s experience thrown in you will be glad you read this book and hopefully entice them to write more books in this series. I personally want to hear of Val’s travels with Ulrik and Agnes by her side as they travel to America to try to save the human race from extinction.I am also intrigued at Val’s green eyes, considering her and Agnes are the only ones in the world with them. Did they share the same mother? Is her mother still alive? Help me encourage these great authors to combine on the next two books for the trilogy they are promising

A Great Beginning, a Great Heroine
I am always curious to read anything by these two authors. Action and adventure always abound, and I was not disappointed. Travelling through a post apocalyptic is always fun as you recognize places and marvel at their metamorphosis. This is worthy of the 5 stars I gave it. Buy it. Read it, enjoy it, share it.

Great Read!
This was my first time with the authors and found that I couldn't put my Kindle away. The book is well written and researched. I am very familiar with the areas in Germany and was impressed with the details. I only hope that they can continue with the two sequels that are mentioned at the end of the book.First time reader, now a big fan!

Awesome story!
Robinson and Gilmour did it again. They create a fantastic story with wonderful characters and much more to come in two more planned books. I love most of what Robinson has written, but this story about a band of Vikings on a mission across an almost empty post apocalyptic Europe just blew me away. It has some of the most wonderful, endearing characters, and the most gruesome fight scenes, of any of his earlier books. Robinson keeps getting better and this partnership with Gilmour has the two authors at the top of their game.Trust me: you don’t want to miss this one!!!

The Energizer bunnies revenge!!!!!
ALL 2,000 bodies parts made it to the story. It's fiction so impossible is nothing. This was a real roller coaster ride.It kept me up reading in the middle of the night ( I couldn't leave Val in the middle of the battle). Several times I had the thought---what did these guys eat before they went to sleep--- to write so graphic. It was an eyeball poppin' good read!

Viking Tomorrow – Think Vikings meets Mad Max!
Viking Tomorrow – Think Vikings meets Mad Max! This is a highly entertaining post-apocalyptic fantasy tale that combines Norse heritage with a sci-fi world of nuclear wastelands and mutated terrors. The main character is a young, fierce and totally empowered women who proves herself to be the equal of, and even better than, the strongest of men in the story. There is a great deal of action, some plot twists and a cliffhanger that leaves the reader desiring a sequel.

Viking Tomorrow is quite possibly the best book I've read all year!
Viking Tomorrow is quite possibly the best book I've read all year! Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour knocked it out of the park with this EPIC thriller. It has everything you would want from a post-apocalyptic adventure. Mutated creatures, cannibals, marauding gangs, and a badassed group of Vikings on a quest to save what's left of humanity. I loved Val, Ulrik, and Agnes!! The exciting action kept me on the edge of my seat until the wee hours of the morning. This novel literally one-more-chaptered me out of a nights sleep :) My only regret is that there are only 5 stars available because Viking Tomorrow deserved at least 10. Phenomenal book!

Vikings and a Post Apocalytic World...What More Can You Ask For!
I have most of Jeremy Robinson's books and love them. This one I wasn't sure about as I'm not a huge Viking fans, but I put my faith into the authors and I am very glad that I did. This is so much (bloody) fun: especially having a post apocalyptic world that, being mostly set in Europe, you are trying to guess where you are before being told! I loved the characters, even the one's that were being played up as trouble makers in the band making their way across a ravaged land. I don't usually write reviews, but there was a note at the end of the book that there would be a part 2 and 3: but only if this one does well. All I can say then is if you like the authors buy this, if you haven't read them, but like the premise buy it, if you haven't read them and don't like the premise...buy it anyway!! I really want to see where this goes :)

If Madmax was set in Scandinavia.. it might be like this
Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmour team up, for another dystopian view of humanity's survival of global catastrophe. In a world of mutated monsters and a destroed world, the Scandinavians do what they need to to survive...they hark back to the viking ways. But when a new threat comes the elders need to send volunteers find the solution. Led by a fierce and intelligent woman called Val(kyrie) they battle across the continent for key to survival of the entire human race. Dogged at every turn by people trying to take the prize for themselves. They every bit of strength and courage they can muster. This book is a great piece of teamwork by Robinson/Gilmour. They bring to life exquisitely, a world of mutated nature and even more montrous people. Its a shame they have yet to make a sequal, and that is my only complaint. Thoroighly good read.

Post-apocalyptic Vikings?!
This book was fantastic, a great character piece and intriguing story/plot.The book follows Val, a woman with a tragic upbringing, through her journey from Scandinavia to Italy to discover the genetic material required to help with humanity's survival. There are battles with beasts, other survivors and even amongst themselves, all told in a brilliantly descriptive violent and action-packed way, all credit to the two authors here. The story is left tantalisingly open for future development, I really hope we get to see the conclusion of the story!

Well its different - but entertaining
I found this book could have been improved if it had been about three chapters shorter. The main character trails and tribulations and battles went on endlessly and three-quarters through the book I was hoping the lot of them would stop mucking about and get to their destination faster. Despite this comment, I stuck with it and the book was entertaining. It is an intriguing plot.

A new Viking saga.
I bought this book for two reasons; the excellent reviews and my own Northman heritage. Set many years after a future nuclear war the story is convincing and exciting. If you enjoy apocalyptic fiction with a twist you will enjoy this book. My only criticism is that I didn’t get the twist before it happened. I usually do!As the great Molly Meldrum would say, “do yourself a favour and buy it”
