Perfect for Zwift!
I'm an avid Zwift user and until recently have used a PC to my 30" TV. Found the simplicity of using my new iPad to run Zwift brilliant, but not use-able on the screen. This device sorts that problem out. I don't get a complete full screen, but it's large enough to be able to use cycling and running - especially the latter where I didn't like mounting the iPad on the treadmill due to vibrations.Simple to setup. less than 10secs to get it all connected.

Simple
This adapter is great for watching media from your iPhone to your TV. I have used it in work to watch PowerPoint presentations and it worked flawlessly with no noticeable lag. You can also watch unprotected content; please note that Netflix & Sky cannot be watched and this is no fault of the adapter its Apple's policy on streaming protected content. You need to make sure you have a power source as it needs this to work but it will also charge your phone slightly when connected so you don't have to worry about your battery draining.

Cheap but it Works
Tried this device as a cheap alternative to Apple's expensive offering. Whilst Apple's adapter doesn't require an external power source, this one does. (Lightning to USB charging cable). However, it performs fine - screen cast to the TV is satisfactory but some of the subscription streamed tv apps on my iphone 7 won't mirror to the TV. You will have to take pot luck and see which one works and which doesn't. All the other apps such as whatsapp video and facetime, music etc. work fine. The device does get a bit "warm" but otherwise it does the job.

Excellent to watch movies or play games on tv.
Fantastic device. Can plug any iOS device into the tv/projector. It has a lightning and hdmi connector one one side and the other has a lighting connector. So you can plug it into the tv and charge it at the same time. Works with iPads and iPhones. Very good!

Plug it in and it works fine
Takes about 20 seconds for it to sort itself out then works fine. I had seen some Mixed reviews. You do need to have a lightening cable to power it. Rotates on the telly into portrait or landscape with the phone.

Didn't work at all
Both units when connected to iPhones and i pads did work at all via the HDMI cables utilised or the Apple tv'S and monitors in the house.

Works as per the suppliers description
I bought this item hoping that when used in conjunction with an HDMI splitter I would be able to watch Sky/Amazon apps on my TV as was suggested by information gleaned from the internet, but no, it doesn’t work because Sky/Amazon block screen mirroring etc from their apps, so yes this cable does what the supplier says and mirrors the iPhone/iPad screen to the TV screen, and does a fair job, can’t say more than that.

Buy cheap, buy twice
Ive missed the return window, otherwise it would be going back! It struggles to relay downloads onto the TV - constant buffer. I did have some success with video footage from my phone, but device had to be plugged into mains power to function. The rule of 'buy cheap, buy twice' applies. I've since bought a replacement from a popular brand and it has no difficulty streaming from phone and does not require mains power.
