This is for the 8+ age group. The 7 yr. old needed some help with instructions whereas the 11 yr. old wasn't too interested. With parental help, it can be done. The 7 yr. old enjoys playing with the first completed project. Works best on carpet for traction. The bare wood floor works but wheels do more spinning in trying to get a grip to move. Cool ideas all in one box.

My 12 year old really enjoyed putting this together and loved the movement action with the remote control. He “demolished” several small structures built with Keva planks with it. Great non-screen activity.

Not gonna lie, im a whole adult and i got it for myself. I just wish it was fully controllable, as you can only drive it. Still pleased with it though

I purchased this for my neighbor's son so he'd have something to mess with when he visits. I knew he was too young to assemble anything, so my 35 year-old son put one of the construction patterns together. It took him all day and he ended up with very sore fingers from pressing the pieces together! It definitely makes the mind work and the excavator he built works beautifully. I can't imagine taking it apart to try one of the other assemblies. I would not recommend this for anyone under 12 years of age who does not utilize creative thinking.

The kids love it. It challenges them to assemble but an 8 year old does it with a little help. Drives well.
