A surprisingly capable 110 volt deep well pump
I installed this pump in my well after the existing 4" diameter, 220vac pump (with control box for operation) fell down into my well! The galvanized 1" pipe string broke off right at the well cap - I discovered such a catastrophe when I returned from a trip out of town. This Hallmark pump rescued my day!I installed a stainless steel check valve & nipple directly at the pumps 1" FNPT outlet and used 1" PEX piping to get the water to the surface. A braided stainless steel safety cable was also added - since I discovered that my previous pump had no safety cable or rope whatsoever. I was not able to retrieve my old pump, so I installed the Hallmark pump just above the top of the old pump's pipe string...at an approximate 110 foot depth.Crossing my fingers, I fired up my new Hallmark pump. Wow! 12.85 GPM issued forth at the well head - the pump only consumes 8.92 amps @ 120vac. No control box required. Too good to be true, right? No...it's an absolutely solid performer!I finalized my plumbing fonnections to our existing water tank & switchgear, needing only to change the voltage from 220vac to 110vac. No control box anymore! Just as simple as that. This pump has been in service for ~2 weeks as of this writing and has performed flawlessly. I'm able to fill our 60 gall9n tank in 39.3 to 63.8 seconds, depending on usage while the pump is refilling the tank. My pressure switch is set at 30psi on and 53psi off. This pump is doing it's job VERY well (no pun intended)An excellent pump for the price, as I can assure anyone who asks. Would I purchase again? You're damn right I will!I'm waiting on delivery of a second identical pump to keep around as backup. This pump weighs about 18 pounds...combined with the 25 pounds of weight from the 1" pex line that goes down hole, plus the weight of the 12/3 SOOW cable I used to supply power to the pump, it's quite easy to lower & raise in/out of hole.Highly recommended- especially if you're going 100% on a 'do it yourself' install. Installing this pump was super easy for my 55 year old self. Done solo!Give this pump a try folks...I just love it!

Excellent pump!!
Was skeptical about going through the work of dropping this in a 500ft well, but I have a smaller pump of the same brand in a 52ft irrigation well- it shoots water like a fire hose (I even ran it dry for a day and its still going) so I went for it and could not be more pleased. Plenty of pressure and flow, it works circles around the 220V jacuzzi pump I replaced with and on half the electricity. I do hover between 40-100ft static water, so that probably helps.

Ok for light use.
You get what you pay for, these are decent pumps for the price. This would be good for garden irrigation, animal watering, or light industrial use. I don't think I would trust this for my primary well as they are fairly cheaply made. The wire gauge is much too small for a 200V pump. I recommend rewiring when you purchase.

Just installed
Overall very easy to assemble and install. The wires used on mine were not standard colors but at least the ground had a tag on it. The instructions were poorly written (very clearly ESL) and were contrary to some of the specifics about the pump (i.e. stating that this specific model was a 3 wire pump and did not have a ground wire included, when in reality it is a 2-wire pump with a ground). Otherwise install was great. The pump is working well so far. We drilled our own well and are just using this as a sacrificial pump to clean out everything before throwing a nicer one in there. Not sure I would trust this as our primary pump long term but it seems to be working well right now. I'm able to run it off a 3500 watt generator and when the pump first starts up, the generator struggles a lot. I wouldn't recommend trying to run this pump off any smaller generator than that.

Failed after 7 months
I had a perfectly good solar powered pump in my well but for a construction project I needed more water. I bought the Hallmark pump and put it down at 100'. I ended up using a water truck for my construction so the hallmark was only lightly used. 7 months later the pump failed. I pulled it up out of the well and found that it was a rusted mess. The external housing is stainless steel but other parts of it are not. The Tuhorse solar pump spent a year in a well and 7 months sitting in a field next to my well. It had no rust on it when I dropped it back down in the well. It is going strong. If I need another pump I will spend the extra money and buy a Tuhorse again.
