Mira HandCrafts 12 Acrylic Yarn Skeins - Crochet and Knitting Starter Kit for Colorful Arts and Crafts with 1,312 Yards of Multicolored Thread - Make Amigurumi, Granny Squares, Scarves, and Throws

This was my first ever yarn purchase when I started to crochet about 6 months ago, and I wanted to give an updated review after having tried out several other yarn brands since buying this one. I really found no issues with this yarn! There were a few knots in a handful of the skiens, but after learning that this isn't uncommon with any brand of yarn, I'm not bothered by it at all. There was enough yarn here to make 2 small blankets for my mini dachshunds. I didn't do anything fancy with the color changes, just picked up with a new color wherever the last one ended. Those 2 small blankets used up all the yarn with a little black left over since I only used the black for the borders. Overall, I'd say this yarn is OK quality. It's really pretty soft, and has held up very well in the washer and dryer. I didn't even put the blankets inside of a pillowcase, nor did I put the wash or dry cycles on delicate (because I didn't know at the time that that's recommended with crochet pieces), and they've both held up wonderfully. The only thing I can really complain about is that the yarn does split more easily while working with it than a lot of the other brands I've tried so far. So, while this kit would be great for a beginner, the splitting can be a pain if you're just starting out. I wouldn't say that's a deal breaker, though. I haven't done any amigurumi projects yet, but I'd guess that this kit would be a good choice for that as well if you're doing smaller stuffies. If you're a beginner and are looking for a variety of colors to play with, I'd recommend getting this. If you don't care about the color variety and just want to practice your stitches, tension, etc., I'd probably recommend just grabbing a $4 skien of Red Heart yarn. It's cheaper and it doesn't split nearly as much as this yarn does. Overall, this was a decent buy for the price, esp since it comes with stitch markers and hooks. Ifnyarn splitting bothers you, I might choose something else, but other than that, I did like this product for what I used it for.

Bought as a gift for my sister who loves to crochet!! Very nice variety of colors and good quality yarn!

I recently started crocheting again and purchased this yarn due to the positive reviews and variety of colors. It was a great buy! The yarn is fairly soft, and the skeins of yarn are big enough for small projects like the granny squares used to make the afghan I created. Stitches were easy to see and the yarn did not fray or split. The colors are so vibrant and pretty—I purchased three sets of this yarn for different purposes, and the colors were very consistent. The thickness of skein of yarn was also on target, with none of them being thicker or thinner than the others. I will say that for amigurumi, it might not be the best yarn, as it didn’t yield very good stitch definition. But, that could also be my fault, as I’m not a very practiced crocheter. 🤷‍♀️ Note: the grey yarn was a different brand. Overall, the yarn is wonderful and highly recommended!

The 40 assorted colors acrylic yarn set by Mira HandCrafts is fantastic for anyone who loves crocheting or knitting. The yarn itself would be great for craft projects or Pom Pom making! Comes in a variety of vibrant colors, and the skeins have quite a bit of yarn in them! Unfortunately, they split and fray a bit too much for use in crochet and knitting projects. It makes it confusing to hold and see your loops. For any other projects, these are a great option!

I have purchased a few of these type "lots" of yarn and this is by far the best acrylic I have bought. They are VERY soft especially for acrylic! I have skin sensitivity so I'm very happy about that. Also, these colors are VERY nice! More diverse than others I received. And lastly the cost for the value of these are very nice BECAUSE these are not tiny balls of yarn like some kits. They are the 50 g bigger ones. So for amigurumi or smaller projects these will absolutely go far. The 3 dk weight is also accurate, which has been a problem with other companies. Just wanted to say these are an accurate 3 dk weight.

I reordered yarn from you and was sent what seemed to be the same as what I had used. Wrong. It is much thicker .I started reading the label around the skeins and this batch is #3 not a #4 as previously sent. The colors are slightly off but that is dye lot and can't be helped. I will keep it because I have no choice and am in the middle of a project but I sure don't like it. It's not as neat finished and splits so easily. Too thick Roxie Conley

Perfecto si estás empezando a coser. Tienes todos los colores para probar lo que quieras. Yo he comenzado haciendo un bolso de crochet de colores y está quedando ideal. Yo las uso con aguja de 5.5, pero se puede usar con aguja de 3.5 ó 4.5. Colores muy alegres.

Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.. Colori brillanti e vivaci, morbidezza infinita non sembra affatto un acrilico 100% ma sono così morbidi dall'effetto setoso. L'ho preso x far dare dei lavoretti ai bambini ma quadi mi dispiace sprecati x quanto sono belli....

Great acrylic yarn easy to crochet with and see your stitches. Colours are very bright, the orange is almost neon
