A lot of tablet for $100 and a great budget-Android candidate for light functionality, media playback, and browsing
I was in the market for a budget-level device to keep in my weight room for playing music in my Bluetooth phones while exercising, tracking my lifting numbers and exercises, doing some light web-surfing and productivity work between sets, and watching videos during cardio sessions. The R103 is ideal for all this and is a great investment at around $100 for shoppers who need basic Android functionality. This is my first Android device in several years, and I’m pleased by how far the OS has come in terms of ease-of-use. The R103 is on version 7.0, and setup was intuitive and fast—I was running in under 10 minutes. My old Android profile was still active and I was able to download all the apps I used to use, with updates.Performance is solid; The R103’s processor is mid-tier and being a budget machine, it’s not going to run high-end games well, but I tried a handful of older and mid-level-performance games and was pleased. The apps I use regularly—Poweramp (music player), MX Player (video player), OfficeSuite, YouTube and Chrome—all do well, with no stutter or detectable choppiness in audiovisual playback or gaps moving between files. Multitasking and sliding among apps is smooth, and I didn’t have any issues with slowdown or processor catchup. The 2GB of RAM is a good amount for a tablet at this price, as many of the sub-$150 machines are equipped with 1.5.The touchscreen is responsive and performs as expected. Resolution is 1200x800, so it’s not a gallery device or a device for running full-HD video, but brightness and color range are good and I didn’t detect any ghosting. I used the camera to record myself performing some lifts to use as a form check for my exercises and was pleased with the quality, though its reduced-light performance wasn’t stellar. For what I needed, though, it was fine. Still images shoot at a decent clarity and the whites appeared to be true.Pairing Bluetooth devices (earbuds and a keyboard) was easy and they stay paired and respond well. In particular, the earbuds didn’t give me any breaking-up, drops, or stutters, even when I tested the upper limits of the 30-foot Bluetooth range. I was really happy about this, as my previous Bluetooth music solution used to bottleneck my audio if I moved further than about 15 feet. One of my favorite Android functionalities is that it interfaces with computers as a storage device (I wish Apple would follow suit), so getting my music, videos, and weightlifting spreadsheets on-board was fast and simple. The R103 has 32GB of on-board storage (it’s about 25GB out of the box) and it can take a micro SD card of up to 32GB as well.Battery life is on-point, sitting at about seven-and-a-half hours of music playback with web-browsing, video playback, and spreadsheet maintenance about a third of that time. Charging to 100% from around 10% takes 6-8 hours, so it’s a good overnight-charge candidate.Size, weight, and feel are all fine (pictured for comparison is the R103 next to an iPad Mini 2); at two pounds, it’s one of the heavier budget tabs in this size, but it isn’t noticeable for me. It doesn’t have a premium feel, with a matte screen and plastic housing, but that’s par for tabs in this range.SUMMARY: Most of us are tech-savvy enough to more-or-less know what we’re getting in a $100 tablet, but in my experience, the R103 is at the high end of that spectrum in terms of performance, functionality, and form factor, and for my needs—basic media playback, web and YouTube surfing, and light productivity under an intuitive, easy-to-use interface--, it’s a lot of tablet for $100 and I’m very pleased with the value.

Biggest Display with Best Specs for the Best Price. Simply the Best
Where to start? First thing I think anyone will notice will be the awesome screen on this thing. I keep the brightness setting on low as I usually use it in low light indoors, with that being said I am getting over 12 hours of battery life per charge. Which is amazing, the only con is that it takes along time to charge also. My solution for that, is to charge overnight when I sleep and take it off the charger in the morning. I scanned with bitdefender before signing in to my google play store account and there is/was no malware on the device. So with bitdefender installed I also feel safer going forward. The device says 1.9gb of usable ram which is great at this price point. I am testing Runescape 3 mobile beta and it plays so well on the device so I am super happy. Final Fantasy Mobius, Mortal Kombat, Dclegends,Star wars Heroes, also bigger games and this plays them all very well. Anything else I use this for will not be as system resource intense so great for Netflix, youtube, prime etc. Shows 24.9gb of usable storage which is fine for me, using about 13gb for the apps and games from my profile but there is an sd card slot to expand if I need more. All the specs with the paperwork and the box. I can honesly say this is the best Tablet I have ever owned and for under $100 delived to my house I am very impressed and want to thank you for the great product and deal.

Very good choice
ok....actually writing review on this tablet. This is a peliminary review, and I will ammend if needed. Overall, seems to be a really decent tablet for it's price. There are a few drawbacks, so will try to comment on both pros and cons.....When received, would not update, or download any apps. When turning on for first time, seemed that it didn't go through the usual setup. However, I did a complete reset, and then all was well. Now, could update apps, and download new apps. Sound is okay, a little tinny - but that is to be expected with such tiny speakers. Brightness is barely enough when turned up all the way. Does wash out in a medium bright room. There is quite a number of good points - especially at this price.... After formatting a micro SD card as internal, the storage is expanded, and apps are being installed to card - adding to overall capacity. Downloads seem to be fairly quick. Battery life looks like it will be very good - haven't put it to the full test yet. Screen is sharp, and looks good - colors and resolution - again, with brighness up full. One really good point, it is not loaded with a bunch of "bloatware". Plays games well, surfs internet, emails, etc. Blue tooth, wireless, headphone output, all worked well. Overall, an excellent tablet - especially at this price point
