I’m actually obsessed with this “off market product“. This is an offbrand, popcorn, but the flavor is actually really good! You actually taste the kettle, you taste the oils of it, it’s not drenched in it! You have different brands that sell this type of kettle corn, you have jelly time, but I love jolly time because it gives you the flavor of the kettle popcorn! I’m not gonna lie other brands cover up the actual taste of kettle popcorn! With this brand, I actually taste the popcorn and everything that comes with it! It doesn’t leave your hands greasy, it actually leaves me very satisfied! I’m very happy I make this purchase every time

It tastes just like you get at festivals

I was buying the Heuermann's brand for years, until they went out of business. Purchased a case at that point and finally ran out. This one is the closest to that for me. What I look for in a kettle corn is a fairly even combination of sweet, salty, and buttery tasting. This one does have that. You have to really watch it, however, as all the caramelized stuff is on one side of the bag and it can burn easily. I watch, toward the end, and as soon as it goes one second without popping, I pull it out. It's usually fine until the last 4-8 seconds, but sometimes it is fine to the end. I use the 'popcorn' button on my Sharp microwave, for reference. Of course, every single kernel doesn't have all the flavors. That's just the way it is. But it's enough that I enjoy it. As for percentage that pops vs percentage of kernels that are dead - I find that I've had anywhere from six to eighteen dead ones. That's a pretty decent average, IMO. It's usually between six and twelve. One more thing - about the 'Insta-bowl' deal that shows on the picture here - I don't know what that's about. The ones I received are in the regular microwave popcorn bags. I would have poured it out into a regular bowl anyway, but it's worth mention.

Not as sweet as shoul be

I wanted to get a good quantity of kettle corn for a decent price. If you are doing the same, look no further. After reading the quantity I figured it should be enough, but once it arrived, I was shocked by how much popcorn I really ordered. As for the quality of the kernels, it varies based on microwave, but what gives it that authentic kettle corn taste, is if you slightly over cook it. Not enough to burn the corn, just enough to caramelize the sugar. It's not carnival kettle corn, but it comes pretty close for being able to make it in 3 min. Also note that SOME of the bags are an easy open side string design, creating a convenient bowl to eat out of. But only about 1/2 of the bags came with them. Not really a big deal to me, just kinda weird that they mixed and matched them.
