A few years ago I unknowingly purchased a bag of potting soil that had hundreds of fungus gnats in it!! My home was filled with them!! I started out using sticky traps, but within a very short time they were covered in gnats!! Then I purchased Mosquito Bits by Summit Chemical (here on Amazon) to mix with water when it came time to water my plants. That helped immensely to put an end to them. However, I needed something else to eliminate the hundreds that were still flying around in my home and getting into my face and food!! I began purchasing bug zappers and these truly have kept this problem under control. This is my third purchase of a bug zapper (my second one of a different brand stopped working), and Klahaite's Bug Zapper is not only effective at eliminating fungus gnats, but it is very easy to clean, easy to use, and also attracts and eliminates house flies, which is very impressive! It's quiet as it sits there looking stylish, but when it's working all that you will hear is a quick, loud snap. Helpful tip: When the 15 watt U-shaped bulb burns out, you can purchase replacements at Home Depot. I purchase the 5 pack of 'SUNLITE 15-Watt T6 U-Bent Full Twin Tube Plugin Light Bulb Black Light.' I got my Klahaite Bug Zapper when it was on sale, so it was a great value for my money! I highly recommend it! Thank you, Klahaite! =)

The wife and I agree: most satisfying purchase we’ve made on Amazon EVER!!! Rs lol we had no idea how many little critters apparently fly in our house when we let our dogs outside to potty. That constant “popping” sound is music to my ears. My son had a hydroponics setup in his room this summer, little did we know that the water tank is a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes. I kept thinking New Mexico got infested because I kept getting torn up. And I was worried that mosquitoes wouldn’t be attracted to the lights spectrum. Within three days of removing the water source and rotating the light to each room in the house, the biting stopped. After a week I didn’t see any more mosquitoes. This is the longest review I’ve ever written. Get one before they jack up the price. I love it running almost 24/7. Definitely will buy a replacement when the bulb burns out. Can’t recommend enough.

My apartment is near a tree line and all sirts of insects try to come inside. The apartment became infested with moths several years ago and I was constantly purchasing sticky moth paper (that works well) but it was too expensive for me. I tried one bug zapper and was thrilled to see all the bugs it caught. I got 2 additional zappers for my closet and guest room. The furst zapper is kept in the kitchen and I’m happy to say I have no moths and any pesky insects that come inside are drawn to the light and that’s the end of them. The savings from no longer purchasing moth and fly traps has more than paid for the cost of 3 zappers. I have peace of mind without the flying insects. The zappers are well made with hard plastic material, safe to use, quiet when not zapping insects, they work as advertised and replacement bulbs are easy to find on Amazon. I definitely recommend them.

Don’t have to put any pieces together and it works amazing! I can eat or read outside without worrying about the bugs day or night!

Works pretty good. It takes a little while for the flies to fly into it. I would probably buy this again if I had to.

Believe it or not we purchased this for the fruit flies! Lol. Those pesky things are hard to catch and I’m not a big fan of those sticky things. I place this where the fruits are at night before I go to bed, when we have fruit flies, and a few zaps later they are gone. Now not all of them are dumb enough to fly directly into it the first day but eventually they are mesmerized and go to the light! lol

This great for mid size back porch. It lives by its promises. Just regular cleaning. 6 months so far.

Okay, I was skeptical at first but this is legit. This thing has been keeping my house fruit fly and fly free since I bought it. The only downside its it does not have a switch on and off button and you have to disconnect it everytime you want it off but other that that it does what its supposed to!

Tiene muy poca efectividad para atraer insectos, particularmente mosquitos. En ocasiones, las descargas eléctricas dejan de funcionar; y en otras ocasiones, comienza a funcionar pero sin atrapar insectos. La luz no es azul violeta sino versosa.
