DenTek Canker Relief Patches for Canker Sore Pain Relief, Helps Relieve Soreness from Braces & Oral Wounds, 6 Count

Unfortunately, I am extremely prone to canker cores, in every part of my mouth (along the gumline, tongue, on the inside of cheeks and lips). I get them at a minimum, monthly as they appear in sync with my hormonal cycle. I also get them with any sort of mouth trauma, such as getting hit in the face/mouth with something, biting my cheek/tongue, eating sharp foods, etc. Sometimes they are mild, sometimes quite severe. A canker sore on the inside of my cheek is what motivated me to try these. It appeared right where my bite is resulting in a severe sore with significant irritation and pain to the point that I have been struggling to sleep. I have used every canker sore product under the sun. Other patches I have used I've found to be bulky and irritating due to the medication. I am so relieved to have found this product. It provides the perfect barrier which results in instant pain relief. I was able to use my HSA to pay for these, so while they do feel a bit pricy, it's not so bad, especially considering the effectiveness of them. The product itself is very slim, like a transparent sticker, which is basically what it is. The texture is smooth, so it does feel like having a sticker in my mouth, however, it does adhere very well and stays in place. I used the directions on the box along with recommendations of other reviewers in that I rinsed with a peroxyl mouthwash prior to use and then patted the area dry before placing. You just stick it right on the affected area and press for 4 seconds. Easy peasy. There was no pain with placement other than the physical touch of pressing to adhere. It is non-medicated but the box says it does have vitamin E to promote healing. I'm not sure how well these would work on the tongue or in spots where the patch can't lie flat, as I haven't attempted to use them on one like that, yet but... It is such a simple but effective product. I find its relief to be far superior to oral numbing gels since those just temporarily numb the area, and don't prevent further rubbing or irritation. Highly recommend trying this product, especially if you have a sore in a place that is particular susceptible to regular irritants.

The product is nice , but it’s pricey , but it comes with only 6 pieces , and it is quite small, overall not worth it .

Definitely helped with the pain but there's 2 different instructions. One on the box saying one set of instructions and on the package of each patch. I tried both and they both only lasted about 2 hours.

The only thing that helps!! A bandaid but heals quicker bc it’s avoiding abrasions. If you have one that’s problematic and painful numbing does not work but for a few minutes at most. This isn’t gonna stay on if you’re eating, but that’s what the numbing is for and then you put a new one on and it’s not going to get further injured. HARD TO FIND IN PERSON! Expensive but best solution. There’s always a hard to reach spot with odd angle or crease that it may not work in but I haven't had this issue yet. ITS A WIN!

I don’t usually get canker sores often, but when I do, they make eating and even talking miserable — so I picked these up on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The patch itself sticks to the sore surprisingly well considering how wet the inside of your mouth is, and it created a genuine barrier so food and drinks weren’t constantly aggravating the spot. The pain relief isn’t instant magic, but within a short while the sharp, stinging pain dulled to something much more manageable. I could actually eat a meal without wincing every bite, which felt like a huge win. I also appreciated that it’s not a gel or liquid that washes away in minutes — the patch stays put for a good stretch of time. My one complaint is application takes a little practice. Getting the patch positioned correctly with wet fingers in a small mouth space is fiddly at first, and I wasted one patch fumbling with it. Once I got the technique down (dry the area first, apply quickly), it went much smoother. Great for anyone dealing with canker sores, braces irritation, or general mouth wounds — 6 count feels like a fair amount for occasional flare-ups, though frequent sufferers may want to stock up on a second box.
