Great substitute for corn starch
This product arrived sealed with no leakage. It is working well for puddings and crispy tofu.

Great for gravies!
I'd much rather use arrowroot powder than corn starch to thicken my gravies. My home is full of vegetarians and vegans. Most cornstarch is manufactured using chemical processes and genetically modified corn, whereas arrowroot powder, particularly this brand, is produced via more natural methods. Non GMO, organic and kosher is right up my alley! This did a great job of thickening my gravies, using the same amount of arrowroot as I would corn starch. I take at least a few tablespoons of arrowroot and add water to it, mix it and add it to my gravy concoction which is usually in a pot being cooked. I wait until all the other ingredients are heating up and add the arrowroot & water mixture, stirring immediately. As it starts to boil, it starts to thicken. If it's still too thin, add more arrowroot and water mixture.I recommend this highly!

why not use corn starch
This is a great substitute for corn starch. It thickens any liquid to make crème soups, or whatever you want to use it for. Basically, it works just like corn starch. The only difference is, that it's more expensive. As of now, I don't see why I would buy this instead of corn starch.
